I owned a copy of 'Rape' by Zos-Kia, purchased from Rough Trade on Talbot Street. It was later smashed, by a disgusted girlfriend. [It wasn't really much good - the flip, 'Black Action' was far better], but to tell the truth, I only bought it to annoy. I think the Swans' drummer, the great Roli Mosimann, was on it, but don't take that as gospel... ;D

Not a 'rape song' at all [for that, if you MUST, search out 'Rape' by Zos-Kia, featuring the vocals of GPO], but someone trying to get a girl to pose for a 'specialist' magazine, jazz pamphlet, grot mag, scud book, call it what you will, but that's what the song is all about. Read the book 'Rip It Up And Start Again' by Simon Reynolds, which contains a very enlightening chapter on COUM Transmissions/Throbbing Gristle. Oddly, Billie Ray Martin did a great cover version of this, in the 90's.

I love when P-Orridge starts singing, and has a sort of distorted voice that is the complete opposite of what he's singing. Then the repetitive beat on the background... hauntingly beautiful. Ignoring the screams of the girl, and the fact that he's talking about raping her, a very good song indeed.
