Peace almost came when Euphy came up with the special administrative zone idea but Lelouch was angry because that would make the Black Knights useless. Then he accidently Geass'd her and any attempt for peace for Japan was gone. Suzaku was going to become Knight of One so he could own Japan and free it from Britannia.

When Suzaku served them like a mindless robot and helped them slaughter innocent people in the Ghettos without even realising it? Instead he went even further against anything he formerly said by planning a Coup D'etat with Schneizel but failing in the attempt because the ACTUAL Knight of One was much stronger than him. His actions in the end (until he sided with Lelouch) made everything WORSE for those who were opressed by Britannia.

Who the hell equips an infantry unit that is planning on going into the thick of battle with a weapon of mass destruction where it's the least tactically viable? What I also don't understand is how the "live" command would cause Suzaku to fire it in the first place, considering he knew its capabilities and would likely be caught in the blast. Wouldn't it dictate that he NOT fire it so he won't be killed by it?

@TytusTolshemLives i think they thought Lancelot was the most capable Nightmare, in terms of Lancelot being pretty much a next-gen model (& also, if Suzaku would have got shot down carrying it, all the others with them in their Sutherlands would have got shot down a lot easier)

& possibly the "live" command anticipated Kalen to dodge it, but this one, just like the 2nd part of the last one, is mere speculation
