Wooooooooow talk about a blast from the past. I accidentally came to this video, but I'm glad I stumbled across it now. THANK GOD I GREW UP IN THE 80's/90's!!!!!!!
Michelle reminds me of Madonna and the song takes one back to the days of Madonna and her hits Holioday Borderline, and Into the Groove Good dance music never gets old Thanks for the video!
I actually remember this song. I was in either preschool or kindergarten when this came out. All I can say is that this group looks like such a joke. The blonde is clearly ripping off Madonna's looks of that time.
im only 16 and i love 80's music its my favotirte and i love them wish they didnt just fade away and the rap version they did of this was really wierd
I remember hearing this tune from somebody's Ford Capri in Southall 89-91 and it was really really loud and crystal clear.. would have had Kenwood 1021 amps installed for sure back then
these girls were the ish when they came out...good music...I still tell people "it takes two to make a thing go right" when talking about relationships...
Thanks for posting this. I have been looking all over for this, and all I could find was the Rob Base/DJ EZ Rock Rap song. I've always thought this was the far better song.
This Video Came Out in Late 1989 and hit #2 on BILLBOARD in February 1990. Madonna's Vogue premiered in April of 1990. I remember when Madonna either sued, or tried to sue Seduction for claims of copying her style. LMAO, Those were the days.
The chorus of this song "It takes two" was taken from 1988's Rob Base n DJ E-Z Rock's "It takes two." This was typical coming from Clivilles and Cole(C&C Music Factory)no originality.
Coming from the UK we never really got exposed to freestyle in a big way. I remember hearing it for the first time in the USA when I went to study there and I was blown away. The music was unbelieveably catchy and good - I couldn't get enough. I remember those days with affections and sadness (as they will never come back). Thanks for the memories and I love this track - I searched for it after hearing it in Singapore recently. Its sad to know that it will probably never come back.
well, all is not lost. In New York we have a radio station called KTU and they place Freestyle all day on there - it's a dance station equivalent to KISS, I guess but with lots of Freestyle tunes.I'm in London right now but will be moving back to NYC later in the year. KTU have a website but due to licencing restrictions you cannot listen live here in the UK. I'm also going to do Freestyle club nights when i'm back in the US so watch this space
hey jay1898.. sure, no problem. I will. I also have the Seduction album on CD with this track on it if your'e looking for it.Maybe you can co dj with me one day in the US....
Would love to see them 3 do a reunion tour. April's voice, Michelle's Diva essence & Idalis is just too hot, the 3 together were magic. I saw them live @ The Apollo & The Palladium back in the day. The show was off the hook!
This song reminds me of 8th grade!! Whenever it came on the radio we used to turn it up and dance to it. Remember when alot of girls would cut their hair and bleach it like hers and Madonnas? This was one of the jams!
I remenber about my first SEDUCTION Lp called NOTHIG MATTERS WITHOUT LOVE I think, This song has been one of the best hits by SEDUCTION!!!!love you Girls!!!!Where is Breakdown and Groove Me!!!!Two amazing songs too!!!And the remix for this song is catchy too!!
another great female trio together with Exposé, Cover Girls, Sweet Sensation...who could be the best?...it's so hard to decide. definitely, old school was the best!!!
I saw these girls with Millie Vanilli, & Young MC "Bust a Move" on Long Island. Millie Vanilli was really bad. Young MC and Seduction were killer. These girls were the best. Rico Y guapo
thanks for puttung this clip to this place. eventually I got to see it after decades of searching and waiting for this opportunity. the coloured hats are ugly but idalis was really sweet, and cool video. in fact it was a cool urban song of the 80/90s. that typical sound...i miss such kind of music nowadays a bit. but actually time and memories make it... making such music to sth special nowadays.
Although this band was thrown together, they really had a sensitivity that female bands never had in the 90's or now. None of them were considered majorly talented, but their music and attitude made a statement. It's too bad their album is long out of print.
They did what the Spice never really accomplished. They just had fun without worrying about the next day.
Usually a no talent group makes it with a cool vid but in Seductions case these tasterely produced videos killed this groups chances ! I wonder if it was done on purpose ???
OMG ! I am speechless ! These gals had a gold going platinum album and the record exc. approved these videos ??? No wonder this talented bunch nevAAA made a 2nd album. What a shame every song on this album is the tops ! Good going Corporate ! LOSERS !
IDALIS, IDALIS, IDALIS.........WOW does that bring back memories. Go figure, Idalis was the least talented of the 3 (as far as singing), but she was the one that blew up for a moment in time. That's MTV for you. By the way did I mention IDALIS. Where is she now days?
i used to rollar skate to this shit i miss it so much you cant even get this on CD no more i had it on tape but i rememeber JCPennys had it and i begged for it
