only one 1000 yard rusher his whole career(abdul jabbar) is just crazy. defenses just tried to stop dan and really didnt think much about the run game. the greatest of all time. the game monday night vs the pats reminded me of the old dolphins defense giving up that many yards to brady and no pass rush. only if danny boy had a defense and running game he would have had 3-5 rings.

If you look at Marino's Stats.....his sacks compare to Other great QB's (Elway, Favre etc etc) its effin sick.......all this passing attempts and sacked like 250 or something and all these other quarterback with 400 or 500 plus......crazy

In my opinion he is the best, no Quarterback has ever come in to the league and taken over with such authority so quickly, even though Roethlisberger has that rookie record he is more of a system QB, like so many others, Marino could go to any crappy team and actually make that team competitive.

forget that superbowl mess.....it shouldint be the only measuring stick of a qb....its a team sport. if montana and brady didint have the team around them that they had then they wouldint have won anything..there numbers belive it or not were not even close to dan's in there champonship seasons.

no i mean marino's team was not an all around team that contributed very well equally, their run game was very average nothing special they hardly ever ran that much. the defense was not reliable and average itself, so dan threw the ball 35 to 50 times a game and scored most of the teams points. montana and brady had only above average to average numbers in there winning seasons, but they had alot of support.

my dad loves dan marino, you cant say anything bad about him in our house, i was too young to really understand football, i only remember dan in his later years, and its a shame, cuz my dad wishes i could have seen him in the 80's
