  • For me, it's not getting motivated that is the problem. It's prioritizing my task list I make for myself. Having started college just recently, I now have other priorities added to my lists.

Now, of course there are those moments where I am not motivated, because I have a hard setting up my priorities for the day. For those moments, I am ashamed to admit that I hop onto Call of Duty: Black Ops Online until some 15 year old starts murdering me.. then I get frustrated and get back to work. :)

  • @iAmThatGuyJohn LOL John :) What issues do you have choosing which tasks are most important?

  • @lynnterry I honestly think it is more less having trouble deciding what it is I need to do and what it is I want \ feel like doing at the moment. All are things that need to get done, really. Once I decide what two to three things to start off with, I normally just keep on rolling straight down my list for the day. I'll say eight out of ten times, my list for the day gets knocked out. So I guess I really don't have a problem, just more or less groan about it til I get rolling.

Adding To: I think since diving into programming, I put so much time and effort into learning and production I don't give myself much "me time" or time out interacting with people. Which is actually why I decided to start scheduling off days and this Sunday I am going hiking and taking photos. Which... use to be... one of my hobbies.

  • @iAmThatGuyJohn Ahh, yeah, scheduling downtime is a must ;-) I do that too! It really helps the day go by when you have something to look forward to, especially if you're "groaning" about the tasks but doing them anyway. I can relate. LOL.

  • I snuggle up with my "critters" and realize that the more productive I am ... the more quality time we get to spend together ... (like the lake ... taking rides ... the simplest of things) ... I also realize that time is irreplaceable ... we all have down times ... but I remind myself that time wasted is a "waste" ... does that sound redundant ... "Carpe Diem" ... I try to live it and savor it ... : )

  • @THESONARIAN good philosophy - I agree! :)
