@ndeep45 After much praying,soul-searching, and scripture reading. I came to the realization that being in the upc was not healthy. I witnessed too much bullying, catching the pastor in many lies, and telling claims of healing and other bogus miracles without anything to back up their claims. Funniest part was when the pastor got caught accessing internet porn on the church computer. He had been blaming everyone else the whole time. But then said he was "being attacked by the devil".

Do you really think we focus our whole lives on these things? Sorry but the UPC is the most loving church I have ever met. First, we know Jesus had a beard. Second, most of the men I was referring to are white. No, we're not racist. Most of the population in my town are black and hispanic. I'm Caucasian. My brother is mixed. Also, my pastor's wife preaches, and we have another woman who's preached. Again, I have facial hair and am not shunned. I am very close to my pastor and his family.
Oh, I see why facial hair is accepted in your Church. It is because of its ethnic make up. I have even heard UPC "Pastors" say that it is allowed for black and hispanic brothers (and mixed of course) to have facial hair because it is a thing of ethnic pride with them. So, you can see that it is indeed racist. The UPC is one of the most unloving churches there is. Go to First Apostolic in Toledo OH with your beard and see what happens.

Many of our churches have men in leadership with goatees and beards. Seriously, if you're going to make up lies, at least get some real evidence to back up your claim.

It's interesting that Jesus didnt say "i am the father" but he did say "i am IN the father... He and I are one". Jesus is God because of His divine essence, the Spirit essence which cannot be compartmentalized. The way that God is in us, is different from the divine essence that is in Jesus. He is "essentially" God. There is ONE essence, and the persons (Father, Spirit, Son) or "manifestations" fully and simultaneously share the One essence. It makes sense, but you gotta study it to go beyond all the misconceptions. Remember this: God is one as to His BEING, but three as to His DOING.

Was Christianity the faith that the apostles and early believers practiced? I know the UPC says they are the originals- teaching from the book of Acts. @ndeep45 After much praying,soul-searching, and scripture reading. I came to the realization that being in the upc was not healthy. I witnessed too much bullying, catching the pastor in many lies, and telling claims of healing and other bogus miracles without anything to back up their claims. Funniest part was when the pastor got caught accessing internet porn on the church computer. He had been blaming everyone else the whole time. But then said he was "being attacked by the devil".

Now on women preaching. The church at Conrinth had issues with women being disruptive in service. That scripture does not apply to women teaching and preaching.

Do you really think we focus our whole lives on these things? Sorry but the UPC is the most loving church I have ever met. First, we know Jesus had a beard. Second, most of the men I was referring to are white. No, we're not racist. Most of the population in my town are black and hispanic. I'm Caucasian. My brother is mixed. Also, my pastor's wife preaches, and we have another woman who's preached. Again, I have facial hair and am not shunned. I am very close to my pastor and his family.

Oh, I see why facial hair is accepted in your Church. It is because of its ethnic make up. I have even heard UPC "Pastors" say that it is allowed for black and hispanic brothers (and mixed of course) to have facial hair because it is a thing of ethnic pride with them. So, you can see that it is indeed racist. The UPC is one of the most unloving churches there is. Go to First Apostolic in Toledo OH with your beard and see what happens.

Many of our churches have men in leadership with goatees and beards. Seriously, if you're going to make up lies, at least get some real evidence to back up your claim.

I have personally known Bro Lee Stoneking for 40 years... he is truly a man of God and lives it. I would not dare to criticize him, truly the signs/wonders follow him... I know, I am one of them! Beware of the deception that is in our day... there is only one door and narrow is the way. Broad is the way that leads to destruction. That is still in the Bible my friends and it will NEVER change!

ohhhhh yaaaaahhhh. single conference was awsome. stoneking was annointed and god made all the power and lights and cameras go out while we were praying. then saturday night we saw angels while stoneking preached on angels. man i am so fired up, then last night at my church we shouted and my dad preached on drunk in the spirit and i shouted and fell out and for the first time, laughed in the spirit and staggerd out tha door drunk. the funny thing is, i had to work that night. so i went towork.lol

jaychrist77, lucky you, I couldn't afford to go this year. Praise the Lord! I have been in services with Stoneking where you could hear and feel angels, but never saw them. I know my pastor was at BOTT 2007 where he saw an angel stand before him. Now that is what I call bringing Heaven down to Earth! Awesome stuff bro', wish I could of been there! God bless you!

musicmusing, what ever happened to the fear of the Lord? Yes, there is grace, love, forgiveness. But there is also judgement, sin, hell. Would you rather go to a church that the pastor only preached what you wanted to hear, or go to one that teaches what we 'need' to hear, which is the truth. Somethings truth hurts. If you really know us, you would know how loving and forgiving we are. We need the balance, because the rain falls on the just and the unjust. God bless.

I agree with what you said, but who said Jesus never married. It would have been impossible nearly to be a 33 yo rabbi and not have a wife. I understand the bible does not address whether Jesus was married or single alright. Be silent where the bible is silent, speak where the bible speaks. I am apostolic, and it does not affect my faith in the Lord JC whether he was married or not.

The word "son" in the Bible means "creation" or "created". The angels and man are the children of God, thus the son's of God. And since God became manifest in the flesh, He too became a son, the only begotten Son. Basically the Creator became the creation. The Father became the Son. BUT, He never stopped being the Father/Creator.
As for the Trinity, why do the Hebrews believe in only 1 God? The Bible was mostly written by the Jews, and Jesus was born a Jew...

in one vid he said he'd been with trinitarians for decades... (when he was young)... i guess he never understood the doctrine of the Trinity! It's interesting that Jesus didnt say "i am the father" but he did say "i am IN the father... He and I are one". Preachers like him influence people to believe that the doctrine of the trinity claims something different than what pentecostals believe, namely that Jesus is God and God is one... it's sad how the enemy divides people by using their pride.

Jesus is God because of His divine essence, the Spirit essence which cannot be compartmentalized. The way that God is in us, is different from the divine essence that is in Jesus. He is "essentially" God. There is ONE essence, and the persons (Father, Spirit, Son) or "manifestations" fully and simultaneously share the One essence. It makes sense, but you gotta study it to go beyond all the misconceptions. Remember this: God is one as to His BEING, but three as to His DOING.

Jesus also said that they may be one; as thou Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also maybe one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me (Jn.17:21). Jesus explain what He ment by saying He in the Father are one. Does that make us the Father also? We are suppose to be one in them.

You really shouldn't be so simplistic in your interpretation of scripture because then how do you explain:
John 17:20-21 20 "I do not ask in behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; 21 that they may all be one; even as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me.
Jesus Christ just SCHOOLED you and what He means when He spoke of oneness with the father.
