I've stayed twice in the Château de L'Ermitage in Montmorency, France. It is a "maison de santé." Rousseau wrote La Nouvelle Heloïse there, and the garden is haunted. He wasn't there long. I have a few videos up of the place, if anyone wants to see them. Thank you so much for posting this excellent series.
George Napier was actually six years younger than Sarah Lennox. I don't know why they made him like 40 on the show, since they were changing actors anyway.
@tahmina16 This isn't the Regency era. This was the Georgian. And although the hairstyles have to give one pause, I much prefer the long waistcoats over the short ones' that followed. I've never understood why the men wanted clothes that emphasized your gut and caused it to hang out. And the tricorne, which again is much more aesthetically pleasing than the hats that followed.
@Coleburg Yeah, I've been trying to figure out the decade that they're in ever since I've started watching episode 1. The puffed hairstyles tell me we're into the 1770s.
Does the actress for Sarah stick her neck out like that on purpose? o. o

I think Ogilvey is rather sweet. He'd make her a good hubby. Serve Lord Kildare right for cheating on her!!
