  • loved this...good memories!!!!!!

  • WoW this brings back memories! I miss the music back then!

  • Pure beauity she is.what a woman of pure lovelyness and soft beauty

  • this song is about her Native American Heritage aawa

  • I was 15 years old during the summer of 1990, which was gonna be the beginning of my Sophomore year of high school that year. I sure do miss the early to mid 1990s. I like this song, but not as much as "Love Me" by Tracie Spencer.

  • i never heard this before never in my life but i love it i was 11 when this came out

  • i loved this album!! i remember being so happy to see someone from my hometown on BET LOL!!!

  • amazing song....was taking my quantum physics final in 1990, while this was on the radio....got an A+ too. , not bad for guy from CUNY We dont get music like this anymore... thanks for posting !

  • i was in love with tracie ....great voice ,beautiful ans she should of been miss elevenpointer

  • This is when girls, acted there age in videos... Not Ho Bots

  • "Ho Bots" aaaaahhhhhhhh,lmao!

    -Stoicone!

  • hahah

  • @atrayu90602 I totally agree, she was very talented,

  • @atrayu90602 I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. THESE DAYS ITS NOT ABOUT THE MUSIC ANYMORE, ITS ABOUT EXPOSING AS MUCH OF YOUR SELF DIGNITY AS POSSIBLE.

  • @corporatehustler1 Stop shouting. What's wrong with you?

  • @atrayu90602 You used an unnecessary comma after girls, and you used "there" when you should have used "their". Also, I see no reason to capitalize Ho Bots.

  • @spencersghost:

Are you serious? You have to much free time on your hands..... Except for the obvious error of "there" as opposed to" their".... Everything els you had to say is subjective .

  • does anyone know what she up to now?

I saw a chase bank commercial. woman there looks like it could be her. every time I see that commercial I swear it's her.

  • Tracie was born July 12 1976 that means she was 14 here.

  • @bfly1 Which means i'm 55 days older than her and who cares she is a great musician and 20 yrs later,we're still talking about Tracie Spencer,so cut her some slack.

  • MROLDSCHOOLMUSIC:Who talking to you????? Dont nobody care how old you are. What you mean cut her some slack do you even know what I was talking about? No you dont I was correcting another person so bye.

  • @BFLY1.... this single (and video) were released in the spring of 1991, so she was 15 by this time.

  • Thats old who cares anymore

  • You cared enough to reply, old or not.

  • And?????

  • And.... You made my point for me! lol

  • Ummm no sorry.

  • LOL!! ...typical...

  • wow havnt heard this in years damn

  • Also this song is NOT about Native Americans. It is about environmental change @strawcream. She is not Native American...she's black (probably has some NA ancestry).

  • Wow, it's hard to believe this video was almost 20 years ago! Time flies by so quickly. I was six when this premiered, but I remember it was such a great song! :)

  • Tracie Spencer on point vocals is what she was good video as well it has a feel to Michael Jackson's/Naomi Campbell video

    " In the Closet"

  • I love this song! I use to dance to it!

  • I LOVE TRACIE

  • She is speaking about the Native American tribe and how it is there house...Love Tracie she is pretty reminds me of Aaliyah.........

  • thats true cuz she is Native American.

  • OMG....I loved this song....

  • She was born in 78

  • Oh shit! throwback central with this one

  • i was 13...where does the time go?....almost 20 years

  • lol I was only 10! wow! I feel you on the time.

  • She was so cute! I had the biggest crush on her yellow self! Not really into light girls but she was just so CUTE!

  • I love this song. I remember my best friend and I jumping on my trampoline when we were young kids singing and dancing to this song.

  • weird its kinda janet jackson style

  • lol hella old school but i love it

  • OMG, another of my favorite tune from back in the day! I was 4 when this came out.

  • Man, these were the days. The 1990s will always be eternal....

  • this video almost like the selena video "amor prohibido"

  • This is classic- music with a message over a dope beat!

Miss Spencer is still the bomb!lol

  • Comment removed

  • She is not Meskawki, what are u talkin about?

  • She was born in 78

  • this song came during my 1st grade year. New jack swing era was the best years 1988- 1992.

  • Word tha ef up!!

    GrammarGod

  • I love this song

  • great song and video . perhaps even greatrer is the message of the song to take care of each other

  • No she didn't, just make me cry.

  • Really hated that backround-sample these days, but the beat is great. Always nice to hear the part from 2:23 on...

  • I was 13 in 1990 when this came out. I was in the 8th grade at the time.

  • I love your screen name!! I was born in 78, and was 12 in 90, so that name applies to me too!! xo

  • You damn right! Anybody that was born between 1970 and 1979 is a 70s baby and a Generation Xer, POINT BLANK!!!! Tracie is a year older than I am. We both have July birthdays and we are both Cancers, but the difference is that she was born in 1976 and I was born in 1977, so we are pretty much around the same age.

  • 70'sbaby80'schild4life, I was born in 1976 just like Tracie. Her birthday is july 12, 1976 and mine is July 7,1976 so, I'm in this group too!

  • Of course. We were both teenagers when this came out. A year or two-year difference don't matter much because we both experience the same thing, and anybody who were born in between 1970 and 1979 are 70s babies. No ifs, ands, or butts about it. Those who were born between 1976 and 1981, we had a blast as 90s teens.

  • I was born in 1982. now im 26.

  • @70sbaby80schild4life me too i love this song.

  • @70sbaby80schild4life

I was 9 at the time, and i sang this song at home when we use 2 make homemade lipsing videos.

  • This was my stuff!! This was like 8th grade!!!

  • This was one of my favorite songs when I was in the 4th grade! CLASSIC song and video!

  • why can't we have more songs with a message now? oh wait, a REAL message does not sell records :(

  • Music with a message- imagine that?lol

    Classic song & video!!

  • this used to be one of my fav songs. God I was so young when this came out my god!

  • this girl's got the voice!

  • yea so i was just born when this came out, damn i feel young..

  • Tracie and I are the same age so, I was fourteen when she was fourteen. Tracie was born July 12th, 1976 and I was born July 7th, 1976 so don't feel too bad. I was in high school facing all kinds of things. This song helped me in escaping from all of the harsh realities of my teenage years.

  • She was actually born in 75.

  • Selena's Amor Prohibido video resembles this one!

  • Tracy reminds me of Alliyah so much I love them both......

  • great song with a powerful message

  • she was only 14 here ... that crazy!!! shes talented!!

  • Like someone commented earlier on my video...this should be OBAMA'S theme song!! =)

  • I don't believe it...that's Flavor Flav walking around the desert at :36!

  • OMG! yes it is i had to look twice to make sure...LOL!!! i was one when this song came out so i don't kno it @ all...it's a nice song tho

  • i was 12 when this came out...was wondering for years who sang it....glad i finally found it....

  • I was almost 3 I think lol.

  • man I was 11 when this song came out.Oh memories.Listening to this and watching Mickey mouse Club.Ha!!!

  • are tracy spencer and tracie spencer the same singer?

  • to:noella777

    No.They are two different people

One of TRACY SPENCER'S song is "Run to me"

    Hope that helps:)

  • I heard they were related awhile back and they even did a show together in Rome when she first came out.

  • scheiße,ich bin alt.....

  • I am so happy that I had her to look up to. Even if it was just for a season :)

  • this is my song she was 14 there

  • Oeffffff What a Music

    I was born in 1990

    And i love 80's 90's Music

    i'm Addicted To it

    It's Da Bomb

  • i was like 4 when dis song came out n i luv dis song

  • get it tracie.they don't mske 'em like tracie no more

  • Aaah takes me back...holiday to LA early 1991...it's true...there's nothing quite like this anymore...

  • She was awesome in this video. Where did this type of talent and honesty go?

  • lol use to luv some tracy spencer

  • Honestly folks, we have to wonder where we go from here.... I mean, back in '90 did you actually think that some 20 years later you would see what you see now on tv/videos????? THINK ABOUT IT. If it continues down this "slippery slope", CAN YOU IMAGINE what it's going to be like 20 YEARS from NOW?? Seriously. I foresee softcore porn being the "norm" in everyday life, tv, ESPECIALLY music videos, etc. Ask yourselves these hard questions.

.......and thanks for listening to me rant.. :)

  • I remember being 13 and discovering Playboy on my parent's cable. I don't know if you recall that show hosted by Ice T back in the day on the Playboy Channel, but it showed X-Rated music vidoes...like the explicit version of "How Do You Want It" with 2Pac and K-Ci...now that video would be no big deal!

  • I have to concur with another poster on here. I just now read on here that Ms. Spencer was born in 1976. That puts her at about 13 or 14 when this came out. I had no idea she was that young. Beautiful voice for someone so young. Beautiful song/video. It just goes to show you don't have to romp around and dress like some kind of slut in your videos to be successful like you see nowadays. And it's only getting worse and worse as time goes on.... Sad really.

  • she was atleast 14, this was the very end of '90 I believe.

  • just love where are u tracey?

  • What the #$%k happened to this kind of music? The garbage on today's radio is nothing compared to this.

  • hmmmm....is it just me or did michael jackson swipe some ideas for his "keep it in the closet" vid from tracie? Thats the first vid that came to mind when I saw this.

  • I had no idea she was only 13-14 when this song came out. Great voice for such a young lady.

  • great video

    this is an awesome song

to a perfectly good and upbeat video

tracie spencer knows how to sang

    do your thing girl

    whoah

  • Did somebody knows how can I get the other version of this great song, I guess it's the Radio edit version.

  • didnt she win star search??

  • I wonder what Tracie Spencer is doing now? Does anybody know? She is older and was so cute and that was the perfect look and commodity for the musical beat of the late 80 and early 90s.

  • I use to dance to this song all the time, I still love it

  • awesome n very very 90's...

  • Thank you, great memories.

  • this song was hot in the club!!

  • PLEASE!!! Somebody bring her back, this is what u call skillz and it was back in the day and it still sounds good!!!

  • I really miss people who could really sing oh I mean sang please bring back these talented singers I miss them in the music world

  • Another one of those songs that makes me instantly happy!

  • Nice Mom Jeans. This was the jam.

  • wow i remember seeing her sing this song live when i was younger...i want to say it was for a spurs halftime performance and i had free tickets for getting good grades..lol wow memories

  • Totally forgot about this song. Thank you!

  • I love this song! So upbeat and with a great message. I think that this would be a perfect song for David Archuleta on American Idol to perform if there is a 90's week. He likes songs with humanitarian messages, and Simon wanted him to do one that is upbeat, so this would be perfect. Anyone know how I can get in touch with him? I messaged a myspace that said it was really him, but don't know for sure if it was.

  • This was my shit!

  • Oooh, me too!! Omg, I Love this song!!!!

  • dis was one of my favor song omg! so long ago lol

  • This song truly defines that era from bout '89-'93. Defined an era.

  • This song was from a time when music was more than about cars and money but about trying to make people think!!!

  • Man!I used to sing along in this song,my grade school years. And the other day while I was in the shower I was singin this so I thought of searching this vid in YOUTUBE and thanked God it's here!

    Reminiscing my youth!!

  • wow ole school

  • dammit i so forgot about this song! gaddy love hits like this! hailing from the bahamas!

  • WPGC ahi la escuche po primera vez y me encanto linda musica Tracie Gracias

  • She made a guest appearance on the hit ABC sitcom, Family Matters in 1993 and recorded the song "I'll Be There for You" for the 1997 film, Good Burger, "The Rain" for "A Smile Like Yours" starring Lauren Holly and Greg Kinnear, "Down In The Delta", and "Girlfight" starring Michelle Rodriquez.

  • , "This House", became her biggest hit to date reaching #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. august 1990

Spencer began modeling in pageant competitions at the age of five then entered and won the CBS television talent show Star Search in 1987 as a little girl singing Whitney Houston's 1986 hit "How Will I Know".

Shortly afterwards, she became the youngest female artist to sign a record deal with a major label, Capitol Records,

  • i used to love this song.. still do.

  • this song was a hit! and she was in the league of one hit wonders like shanice ( i love your smile ) too bad they only got one chance at a career, unlike, uhhmmm, say britney spears.. oh, check out jazmin !

  • Tracie and Shanice actually had more than one hit early in their careers, now later in their careers they both think they have to sing and look like ho's to sell cd's instead of letting their voices do it for them because they are both talented singers, it's a shame.

  • I REMEMBER SHANICE, SHE HAD AN EXCELLENT VOICE, TRACIE WONDERFUL. EVERY NOW AND THEN YOU CAN STILL HEAR THEM ON THE 80s RADIO I LISTEN TO. I WULD LOVE TO HEAR THEM NOW, SEE HOW MUCH THEY HAVE GROWN AND MATURED IN THIER VOICES.. I BET GREAT!!

  • LOL oh! All this time I thought she was Tracy Spencer in that Fresh Prince episode!

  • Tracie was never in Fresh Prince...Although the actress looked exactly like her.....

  • she looks familiar, did she do an episode of the fresh prince???

  • It was Family Matters

  • What a great song and video, brings back good memories

  • What ever happened to Tracie? She must be in her early 30's by now. Like many child stars, they realize that getting a solid education is more reliable that instant stardom that won't last for most of them.

  • I read on Wikipedia that she took time off from music and modeling to do other things. I hope that she comes back out with another album.

  • It does remind me of selena! Tender Kisses was her biggest hit though! Tender kisses was the type of song you would ask a girl to dance in junior high! :)

  • I'm trying to find this song on karaoke, because I really want to sing it badly.... Anyone out there know?

    Thanks!!

  • Love this song, I also had a big crush on her!!

  • I was in luv with Tracie growing up. This was a good, positive song. Tender Kisses was my fav though. Thanks for the vid and the memories!

  • This was the joint back in tha day!

  • I love this song!!! I don't care what anyone says but the 90's had the BEST MUSIC EVER!

  • love it thanks for posting...we can make a difference. take the time to search the mind...it's all in the hands of love ...stop the hate

  • i was just thinking the same thing about selenas video when i saw this one.

  • Selena's Amor Prohibido video is remenicent of this video. This song and video is great.

  • SEXAYYY

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!! i havent heard this song for years!!!!!couldnt remember her name and just stumbled upon her here, wicked!!!

  • The 12" house remix *and* the album version are flawless!

  • the only song i bought from miss spencer...the 12 inch was house remixed...love the beat...this version is my favourite...thanx 4 postin a great track

  • this song is so 90s

  • whatever happened to her, she must be about 33 or 34 years old

  • shes actually 31, she was born in 76.

  • Michael Jackson copied her video!!! This looks very similiar to "In the Closet." Michael even has her ponytail.

    I love her voice.

  • LMAO!

  • LOL!!!!

    You are so wrong XDDD

  • Her voice sounds soooo nice.

  • Great artist.....song......video! Back when it was about the music and not just shakin' your T&A and acting a total skank.

  • something's missing... maybe the great finale - nothing new after the break... or just make-up? I don't know. Anyway - nice song.

  • Man, I never knew who sung this song.

  • Tracie Spencer, cantora de muito talento e de

    bom visual,nota 10!!

  • is there a video for love me my favorite song by her...

  • I love this song Tracy was doing her thing back then young and all you go Tracy........10 for real!

  • is there a video of Tracie doing the song "Imagine"?

  • yes i wish somebody would post it, and also she has a video for the song called "love me " sugar ray learnard son is in it
