It's easy. Just replace the exsisting ringtones with your own and ensure they have the same name. That works even on protected firmwares.

Sorry, I don't have a clue. All I can say is I followed instruction and it worked perfectly. Maybe check your to see if your USB cable is working, or check MSU for a trouble shooting Guide.
