You've done an amazingly beautiful job on an unforgettable song. I've come back and heard your version many times. I have a question. I play around a bit with the piano... is there any way you could hook me up with the sheet music for this?
Larry....Every single bit of this is purely delightful...You know those moments when you just feel so damn happy, almost giddy..Christmas morning as a child, my first car, and hearing the words Aunt Oni...I get those same feelings everytime i come to listen to this...Your voice is so enthusiastic...And the way you're smiling, well it just makes me and,im pretty sure everyone else do the same....I am so very glad you share your music here...ione marie
nice version... i was trying to work this out and started with intro then Dm/Bflat...Em...A...D7 but i hit a brick wall at the chorus ,,what key and chord prog do you use???
Larry.....Came back to this for another listen....i love how damn good and genuine that voice of yours just flows out of you...And i just read the comments from the writer of this song....i know you do theses videos because music is what you love.but i must say how incredible it is and how it speaks volumes about the gift that you have, when the original writer recognizes your work and is so pleased and impressed with what you have done....he can see, just like we do what a real MUSICMAN you are
Larry, it's my pleasure. i also really appreciate your understanding of the meaning of the title which very few people ever mention--that 98.6 means "normal". peace bro', tony
James, hi, my name is tony powers. George Fischoff and I wrote 98.6. I love your version... the tempo, the vocal...you really serve the song beautifully. Thank you for this. keep on. peace, tony powers
@TonyPowers22 Tony, actually my name is Larry, and I thank you so much. As the writer, to hear you say that about my version is a very meaningful uplifting thing..
Hi Podline! My name is Tricia; my friend Steve told me about this song while we were sitting around wondering what 2 do with ourselves, not wanting 2 be where we were, but not having nowhere 2 go and nothing 2 do. Then Steve says, " Have you heard that song by Glen Campbell, called "Where Do You Go?" & he started singing the song word 4 word! He says it's from the album "Honey Come Back" 1974(?). So how do we rate! Love your piano playing by the way, I play also! Great song, it was perfect!
great what chords are you playing??? ive got a vague arrangement for this song with a lot of holes in it ,,,that intro section sounds a bit like wacka doo wacka day by gilbert osullivan
Magical! How wonderful to enjoy your singing songs that deserve to be remembered and renewed! I try not to make requests, but that song reminded me of others of that season, like Mellow Yellow and Pretty Ballerina.
oh man! i just heard this on the radio this evening! hadn't heard it in YEARS! i think you're the only one who's actually covered this on here (though i might be wrong). at any rate, centigrade or fahrenheit this cover was hot! great stuff!
Hey Larry! I"m a guy and don't bust you on ratings as I think you're really talented! I love this song it's a great summer hit...Did you know that Lesley Gore had a medley of this and Lazy Days?
Larry......enjoyed this very much....actually does set a summer feeling....your voice is wonderful ....ad i agree about normalcy.....it is a commodity that brings some peacefulness.....ione marie................................and i must say...your smile is shining here...what a treat for us all:):):)!!!

So, you "enjoy a return to the normalcy that 98.6 indicates.."
Well, we take the lyrics seriously they might indicate that you have something going on with a lady, am I right? ;)
Doesn't matter: love to see you happy and smiling like this again!
singleladyhawk 2 years ago
Wow .. You seem very concerned about my personal life..
Why exactly??
podline66 2 years ago
Just human interest, don't worry. Just read your comment, listened to the song and made a small calculation, haha.

Well, she also could have asked you if you just recovered from a fever or something :)

Quite often, guys named Keith are nicknamed Keef. Example: Keith Hampshire has often been known as Keef or The Keefer throughout his career.
In an interesting reversal, Barry Keefer decided to call himself Keith for this big Top 40 hit song.
As is the norm for Larry, this is a beautiful performance of a great song from a fantastic musical year.
Not to say that any of us is "normal', whatever that is ...

This guy's name is really James Keefer, I believe..
So there ya go..
