excessive love handles is due to genetics, is caused by a big amount of fat cells on that area, this is the reason why some women have big butt and small waists, because they have a big amount of fat cells on the butt and small on the waist, there are aslo women with no butts and love handles, the other way around, is all genetics, only permanent way to fix this forever is with liposuction, because lipo destroys fat cells permanently, less fat cells = less ability to store fat on an area

At 6'5 285, for a start point, I am now down 20 lbs to 265, and want to hit a cut 245. Actually new research shows spot reduction is possible based on increased muscle mass in a particular area limiting or reducing the room for fat cells to be formed around that area.

@Ashleyzxx your question implies spot training but the answer to that remains the same. there is no such thing as spot reduction you cant work a single body part and expect to see fat loss in that area only. fat loss is a HOLISTIC process and it occurs everywhere on the body.
