@alejandrorayson You can buy it at the end of game. After escaping the shelter you have to use Eve's teddy bear on Flint (you can do that if the dog is still alive); the dog will follow you from the military camp in which you are. Then you have to go in the sterilization room and you' ll find the soldirers. One of the is still alive. Flint will remain with him. Go out the room and return to the parking, speak to the soldier and you shold be able to buy M249. I hope I was clear.

Me and my friend have this game for pc (psx emulator) and i was helping him beat this boss and the dog died.

If you dont kill this boss in 3 minutes the boss kills the dog and goes away.
