@vsboy25 I always rant about the inconsistent lighting laws in the US... Forward facing blue is illegal in New York State. Rear facing white is just daft.
Both red and blue lights on police cars (especially highway patrol cars) makes sense since red and blue lights are more visible to other motorists rather than only red or only blue. I've read studies indicating one is more visible in the day while the other at night (can't remember off the top of my head which is which).
@VanEmergencyNews I just find it weird... only NY State Police use blue rear lighting. NYPD is all RED/WHITE last time I checked man. Well, I guess I'm wrong.

NYPD is epic cool police force but this light bar is a little much.they should use leds much brighter and simple blue red is more effective.

@rudeboystu69 Red is for daytime, blue is for nighttime, that's because blue is brighter ;)

@strangerberry It's mostly because it's the most sensitive colour really... LED blue lights are really bright at night though!

@rudeboystu69 It's blue, it's the most sensitive colour to the eye. Red and blue together isn't too bad though.

@VanEmergencyNews no, almost if not all the departments and cities in side of NY use rear blue lighting..plus it says nypd on the door

@VanEmergencyNews
The New York State Police was the first agency to use blue rear lighting. Now, almost every agency in the state has rear blue lighting.
