  • I normally hate smooth jazz because of people like Kenny G, but i like this guy

  • Cooking Keith. We are on a similar mission on this side of the globe.Goodluck I am sure the track is a hit.

  • Nice music man...what type of reed you use beside the mark vi alto and the beechler mouthpiece?

  • Smooth Jazz is where its at.

  • Cool chops my man...also, really groovin' and complementary background music...Keep up the good work...Cheers!

  • You sound amazing. I am just starting alto, and you are very inspirational!

  • Love your sound man. Who said smooth jazz is dead? As long as we keep making "good smooth" it won't die.

  • Great Jazz!

  • WOW great love it

  • that's awesome, and you are a great musician, i wish i could play my sax like you, but im just learning for the first time now

  • are you the guy in the video?

  • @santis308 - Yes, that is me in the video.

  • i wish i could play sax like him, im a freshman in high school and first chair sax in my jazz band

  • very nice job. you sound amazing...i'd love to see you live, and be honored if you could even give me a few tips...as an aspiring jazz musician (tenor and alto sax, also just recently (june 1rst, my bday) recieved an EWI, which is taking some getting used to, i would greatly appreciate any advice you could offer.

  • You are truly unbelievable at the sax. Keep up the ridiculously great playing, I throughly enjoyed all of the youtube videos and I may buy your CD ;)

  • すばらしいてず 感動しました・・・ nice good・・・・ (*^_^*)

  • the sax pwns all

    i play many insturements but

    the saxaphone is the best!

i play alto and tenor sax, and other instrments all together

  • @stonejones1 you play sax and you misspell "saxophone"?

  • @Jeremybug2 you do realize that just because you own something, you don't have to know how to spell it, right? Or r you just messing around?

  • why does that alto sound like a tenor, is it the key hes in? cause even then, it sounds like hes going WAY too low for an alto

  • There is tenor and soprano sax in the tracks that I am playing to.

  • ahh, that makes sense now, thank you

  • x'( i wanna play that type of music!!

  • rap ownz!!! jazz ownz!!! house ownz!!!!

  • This is an awsome song... i used to and still do love rock but im slowly drifting into the music of jazz . Im now trying to learn sax.

  • Wow!!

  • this is amazing i love this type of music

  • hey just came across your vid where can i get your cd.

  • Search the web for Keith Jacobson and you will find my web page. There are links to buy the CD there.

  • I realy like this type of music. it brings back memories of when i was in Florida. There was a jazz channel that played this kind of music. i think it was the Dave Koz station. Can i get the sound track? ...Please?

  • check out the song jazzy swagger it sweet

  • Is this really live or did they get you to fake it over the recording?

  • Yes, this is really live. The original recording was done on soprano and tenor sax, no alto (which is what I am playing in the video.) Though there are soprano and tenor parts in the track that I played to on the video the solos are all on alto.

  • That's great! I'm in my high school band, alto sax, how do you get that sound? Is it just from the mic, or something else?

  • I'm using a Beechler metal mouthpiece w/Oleg ligature.

  • Euge groove is really good too!

  • If you like keith then you should try listening to Eric Marienthal

  • CAN YOU GIVE ME A LESSON?

  • O_O my god..

  • Very nice, listen to Eric Merenthal much?

  • I first heard Eric Marienthal in 1991 with the Chick Corea Electric Band. In 2001 I was lucky enough to start studying with him and have been doing so ever since. If you have never heard him play I highly recommend checking out the video Lee Ritenour & Eric Marienthal Rio Funk. He's as good as it gets.

  • Wow I love it!

  • I haven't heard alot about you, its kind of a wonder why, your very good. I believe your better than charlie parker, some musicians don't get as much acknowledgement as they should.

  • I dig your sound.

Kinda reminds me of Aaron Neville's voice. I mean that as a compliment, to me it's a good thing when a horn can be likened to the voice of a singer.

Oh, by the way: What lig is that?

  • Oleg ligature

  • horn mouthpiece combo?

  • Selmer Mark VI

    Beechler #7 mouthpiece

    Vandoren blue box #2.5 reeds

  • thats cool really like the sound thats being played

  • great

  • this song is beautiful :)

theres no smooth jazz song that ive EVER heard that is better than this!

  • omg i love it !!

  • are you playing on a VI by any chance?

  • Yes, It's a 1959 serial number 71,XXX

  • very nice

    i have a '65

  • he sounds really good, i can't tell if he's using a leather ligature or if its faded metal.

  • I'm using an Oleg ligature that's faded. Thanks for the comment.

  • Sounds nice!

  • Omg Im gonna go get my sax right now and try to imitate this... try to

  • Man, I wish I still played the Saxophone

  • great bass, great drums, great sax, great rythm, great harmony, great melody, i love smooth jazz!
