And what really got me was the a fact that when I was looking at the undertaker promos they showed almost all of His past opponents at wrestlermania and I never saw WM17 and I had to laugh about it. I definitely agree with you about the WWE and both 'Taker and HHH totally ignoring their WM 17 match that they had 10 years ago and I even posted their full WM 17 match in its entirety on my FaceBook profile the same week that they each cut their promos but failed to even mention their WM 17 match in them. 1. The undertaker is getting to old for wrestling (injuries and what not) and they think that Having him vs HHH at wrestlemania would be a great way to end his carrier not to mention his streak
2. HHH is going to leave the WWE for some reason and saying that "this is the only thing I have left" so if he doesnt win he'll be like "I didn't do the last thing so I'm out"

Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 21 in 2005 was the last time that I thought someone had a legitimate chance to beat the Undertaker. Going into that Wrestlemania, I thought Orton might win.

The saddest part of seemingly forgetting the wrestlemania 17 match is that it was a very good match. It wasn't a no holds barred match but it "got out of hand" and went into the crowd. With that said I am looking forward to the match in itself, which I suppose is the point in it being held, but this IS stupid.
That said, I almost feel WWE KNOW that the quality of wrestling isn't brilliant at the moment and they are making these matches between HBK/'Taker and HHH/'Taker as kind of guarantees.

I find the HHH vs. Undertaker match, the promotion of it, and everything about it to be absolute garbage, and an insult not only to the current wrestling fans as well as the entire locker room. For the last 11 months several men have kept the federation running via competetitive matches and hard earned effort, and in one fell swoop it's all negated. And by a man who booked himself into this match. Both men are broken down hasbeens and neither man deserves as much of the spotlight they're getting

Sure Taker's body is starting to give out on him, but cut the guy some slack, he's 46, has stood toe to toe with arguably the best wwf/e generation to ever exist (attitude era) and is one of only a handful from that time still actively competing. Undertaker has performed consistently at the top for nearly 20 years now and pushes every single one of his opponenets like no other superstar. As for HHH, he's only retiring due to injury.
That was my favorite mania streak match, at 17. That is just ludacris that WWE thinks that they can jut o that, ERASE something that happened in a sense. WWE has gone to shit almost now compared to even 5 years ago!

@spinnernet1 I'm actually a fan of 'Taker fighting the same people too often. The streak now is a good way to push up and coming stars like Wade Barrett. Sure you can sometimes have him fight guys like Jericho who would give him a great match, but considering he's face Kane, HBK and soon HHH twice each it gets kinda repetitive. Also makes certain opponents look bad, if they failed twice.
Kane is different, being his brother. They could fight various times.

This whole "feud" is so much less epic than it could potentially be. I thought that it would be some amazing storyline of Trips trying to avenge HBK, but instead they just try to make it some standard ego match up. I've never understood why WWE refuses to acknowledge their own history. They're going to ridiculous lengths. Although, even if they did, this WM card is still looking pretty weak considering there's talk of no MiTB.
As far asTNA goes, Sting, at this pt. in his career should be used to get younger talent like Styles and Joe over. I think TNA wanted to show WWE something over the MEM reformation fiasco and Sting vs. Taker hype so they put a spotlight on Sting as of late.

The saddest part of seemingly forgetting the wrestlemania 17 match is that it was a very good match. It wasn't a no holds barred match but it "got out of hand" and went into the crowd. With that said I am looking forward to the match in itself, which I suppose is the point in it being held, but this IS stupid.
That said, I almost feel WWE KNOW that the quality of wrestling isn't brilliant at the moment and they are making these matches between HBK/'Taker and HHH/'Taker as kind of guarantees.

I find the HHH vs. Undertaker match, the promotion of it, and everything about it to be absolute garbage, and an insult not only to the current wrestling fans as well as the entire locker room. For the last 11 months several men have kept the federation running via competetitive matches and hard earned effort, and in one fell swoop it's all negated. And by a man who booked himself into this match. Both men are broken down hasbeens and neither man deserves as much of the spotlight they're getting

@Smokachu I gotta disagree calling Taker and HHH a 'has-been'. Sure Taker's body is starting to give out on him, but cut the guy some slack, he's 46, has stood toe to toe with arguably the best wwf/e generation to ever exist (attitude era) and is one of only a handful from that time still actively competing. Undertaker has performed consistently at the top for nearly 20 years now and pushes every single one of his opponenets like no other superstar. As for HHH, he's only retiring due to injury.

Because WWE loves when things are exactly a decade later (think of the way they go to MGS for WM every ten years), I figured they'd hype Taker-HHH for this year as the big rematch ten years later. Also WWE doesnt really bring up history very often especially 10 years ago. I am actually quite surprised that WWE ever acknowledged the Orton / Punk angle 2+ years ago.

@spinnernet1 I'm actually a fan of 'Taker fighting the same people too often. The streak now is a good way to push up and coming stars like Wade Barrett. Sure you can sometimes have him fight guys like Jericho who would give him a great match, but considering he's face Kane, HBK and soon HHH twice each it gets kinda repetitive. Also makes certain opponents look bad, if they failed twice.
Kane is different, being his brother. They could fight various times.

This whole "feud" is so much less epic than it could potentially be. I thought that it would be some amazing storyline of Trips trying to avenge HBK, but instead they just try to make it some standard ego match up. Not only that, but it's basically the same watered down storyline as it was 10 years ago; ego vs. streak.

HHH is the only wrestler whom seems to have a chance...outside of sheamus and barret i assume, for a wrestlermania match. I've never understood why WWE refuses to acknowledge their own history. They're going to ridiculous lengths. Although, even if they did, this WM card is still looking pretty weak considering there's talk of no MiTB.
As far asTNA goes, Sting, at this pt. in his career should be used to get younger talent like Styles and Joe over. I think TNA wanted to show WWE something over the MEM reformation fiasco and Sting vs. Taker hype so they put a spotlight on Sting as of late.
