Sweden do have more individual freedom than the US and the gaps between rich and poor are not as big as in the US... I think this really proves that Sweden is a great country! :D Scandinavia is a great place to live! And no, there are no polar bears here and it's not cold all year long! The winters are cold but the summers are as hot as in New York or Washington or whatever... and you don't have to go down to Florida to escape from polar bears, do you?

The major problem with Sweden is that there is no individualism. The majority thinks they have the right to dictate anything, without any boundrys, for the minority to follow. The level of freedom in Sweden therefor is very low. That's why there are a lot of mental illness amongst swedish people. I, as swedish, do admire the higher level of freedom in the us. But I dont admire the lack of social wellfare in the us. The poverty. Anyway, I love the us and americans!

Ehm... I don't know what Sweden you live in, but in my Sweden drinking age is 20 at home, and 18 in like bars and pubs and stuff... (yeh, that doesn't make much sense, but that's how it is)
Of course there are negatives, like anywhere else. For example, discrimination on the job and housing markets is not uncommon (especially to those who don't speak Swedish fluently).
When employers are hiring in Sweden they tend to not only look at your qualifications but also how well you fit into the existing group. As an American student studying in Sweden this semester, I think I found this video extra hilarious (i've been watching it every day for almost a week). I knew about all the talk back home about "America going Socialist" but I hadn't heard the Sweden remarks until I saw the video. I love Sweden so much, and I don't miss a whole lot from America (Although some Chick Fil A or Zaxby's would be nice ;-) )
Full of fact errors about our taxes (heavily over exaggerated) and the dental care aren't free for example, but we don't pay full cost for it.. But ye it's rather good =) I had a nice laugh at least!

As an American student studying in Sweden this semester, I think I found this video extra hilarious (i've been watching it every day for almost a week). I knew about all the talk back home about "America going Socialist" but I hadn't heard the Sweden remarks until I saw the video. I love Sweden so much, and I don't miss a whole lot from America (Although some Chick Fil A or Zaxby's would be nice ;-) )

Full of fact errors about our taxes (heavily over exaggerated) and the dental care aren't free for example, but we don't pay full cost for it.. But ye it's rather good =) I had a nice laugh at least!
And the ending is by the far best I've seen in months xD HAHAHAHA.. I rly hate Ikea, so ugly furniture.. so LOL

I pay 30% Taxes where I live, and that is from my pay check.. The other taxes the Swed government have put on for example tobacco, booze, fuel or other stuff I don't add up in my calculations as all countries have them in varying degrees.

I think it's hilarious that the Yanks hate socialism, but the UN keeps chosing countries- like Sweden and Canada- as the best countries in the world!!
We get hit pretty hard on the taxes as well, but it pays for our healthcare, our schools, our roads, etc, etc. And our banks are regulated. No massive deficit here, but we still feel the pinch.
