  • Is this making fun of Delta...

  • don't they have reading lights?! lol!

  • lol i do that too to piss ppl off :L:L

  • I like aisle seat better cause then u don't have to bother anyone bigger to get out of their seats.

  • they should really show these videos on the plane maybe people will realize how inconsiderate they can sometimes be

  • do they show this on delta planes?

  • Seriously DL I love these videos! You know I wasn't happy about the merger but I just might like you guys!

  • Oh like the lady is trying to be rude. Nothing like some snotty kid leaning over coughing and yelling and you while youre a captive passenger. Buy a freaking window seat for your kid if you want them to see the empire state building. I don't know what Delta is trying to say here.

  • They are trying to say they unfortunately can't filter out ignorant jerks who think they actually bought and own the window by paying the SAME amount of money and actually being just lucky sitting there...

  • Sorry, I was thinking only domestic flights, I dunno if there is a price tag at Delta for a window seat on intercontinentals. But even if yes, you pay for the window, you don't pay for being a completely ignorant. You still can remain reasonable. Flying is about serious trade-offs.

  • Actually, the few times I fly, I book well in advance to make sure I get a window seat. And you can bet I'll be looking out of the window too.

  • DON'T PUSH THAT RED BUTTON!

  • I'm sorry but I pay $1000+ for an international ticket to see the view out the window during waking hours only to be told to close the shades so people can watch a $5 video that they can watch anytime on the ground??? That is the one thing that ticks me off, $1000 view, $5 movie...

The worst part is the people who shove 20,000 items in the seat back and those who leave the reading light on directly above your head when it is time to sleep...

  • Thank god for electronic dimmers. Don't you just hate it when people do that on an INTERCONTINENTAL FLIGHT? Even if you're trying to get some sleep, one person has no idea how to switch on the reading light.

  • jajaja lol

  • What happened to the guy who pushed the red button?

In all seriousness, the person at the window controls it - they can be considerate or mean but that is their perogitive. Just like it the option of the person on the aisle to not get up if the person at the window needs to go to the bathrooom! :>

  • wow, that lady must have been annoying. damn

  • Yep! *lool*

  • This is so true! I was in a Delta flight two days ago! and this guy would do this and didnt care!

  • I like all the videos, It's great. Do you fly Delta? is there a word for a 7 hour delay at LAX?

  • the little girl is too cute

  • 'Mom is that the Empire State Building? Hey!' Good stuff. lol

  • Haha! The first couple of videos I saw, I didn't get it, but I get it now, it's funny! :D

  • You know there is another way of travel and you can do it anywhere in the world. ITS CALLED A TRAIN. Try it sometime, you might find it more enjoyable and less stressful than flying. Oh btw go sleeper instead of coach. May cost abit more but its worth it!

  • Yes, I think I will just hope the train from Seoul to Orlando. Great idea.

  • Well - this is dumb. What happened to being excited to fly on the airplane? It's not a cattle wagon with some lame movie on. Shade is ALWAYS up, rain or shine. I love looking outside the window.

  • Rock on!

  • totally agree. i usually take aisle, but love the light from the window. i hate when they close the shades and make the plane dark so the 6 ppl who overpaid for earphones can watch some crappy movie on a 6cm screen that's like 20m ahead of them.

yeah, the sun, that's what's going to ruin your movie experience. lulz.

srsly, bring a laptop or fly jetblue if you wanna see a movie. person @ the window has control over the shade, afaic.

  • FYI-- there's a READING LIGHT above each seat for that person who thinks you need to raise the shade to read.

I often fly an 8 hr. overnight flight that arrives at my destination about 7 a.m. I try to sleep as much as possible on this flight (like 95% of the other passengers). There is always some self centered dingbat that feels they need to open that shade at sunrise to knock us all out of our seats.

What happened to being considerate of the other people on the plane?

  • Sorry, but some of us almost never get to fly. When I do, I get a window seat well in advance for a reason. Do you honestly expect me to stare at the back of a seat or at a dumb movie when this is one of my only chances to see the earth from 30,000 feet in the air? Where is your sense of wonder?

  • You know it gets tiring to look out of the window all the time.

  • What could you be looking at out the window at 30,000 ft. at night over the Ocean? When the shade is open & we start to hit sunrise, it's like a giant strobe light coming thru that window. You still can't see diddly other than a blinding flash of light. If there's actually something below to see, I don't have a problem with that. It's the dingbats that just open it to "see if it's light outside" that aggravate me. BTW-FYI, my "sense of wonder" takes me over about 80,000 air miles each year.

  • I am sorry that you have lost your sense of wonder and are so easily aggravated. It must be terrible for you.

  • The shade lady is me! Mwhahahaha!!!

Seriously, the movies they show on flights are so boring and dull I end up pulling up the shade to get enough light for my book. Other people will be able to see the movie as soon as their eyes adjust to the changed light.

  • Err, you do realize that there's a handy-dandy electric light right above your head that will illuminate your book without blinding anyone else?

  • if u sit in the window seat, dont putit down

  • I was flying once ane the guy next to me had the window. He had the shade down the whole time. Why the f**K would you get a window seat

if you didnt want the window? I mean does the person by the window own the window? If so then the person near the isle owns the isle, right? it doesnt make sense. I wanted to punch the guy n his big stupid window hogging head.

  • Personally, the sun gets in my eyes and it really, so I like to dictate the seat so I don't have to deal with it.

    Mom gets mad though...

  • Hey 1000rtodd:

so the clips are 100% exactly for YOU,

cause you are one of the stupid people,

who don't even understand this movie!

They are made for people of your kind!

  • stupid? Well apparently so Cause Im scratching my head in bewilderment because your statement made no sense. Did you watch the video? The point was that the lady near the window had no regard for others whether they wanted the shade up or down. When they were watching the move she pulled it up just like she pulled the shade down when the little grl was pointing out the statue of liberty, you dip shit! And by the way disco straight sucks.

  • Sorry, but the person at the window does have control over the shade. If I want to sleep in my window seat, you can bet I'm pulling that shade down. Too bad if the kid wants to look out the window; they're not going to lean over me to do so. Mom made the choice to not sit the kid next to the window, so too bad for her.

  • 1000rtodd, from my perspective, the person in the window seat does own the shade. Up, down, halfway—it's a free-for-all and completely in control of that passenger in the window seat. That is why they chose that seat. You, as the middle-seat holder, get control of the armrests on both sides of your seat. The passenger on the aisle gets easy ingress and egress. That's the deal you make when you choose your seat.

    Yes, apparently, I'm that guy.

  • Give it a rest will you? The world doesn't revolve around you or anyone else. Delta is doing the best they can. Do make the things you're suggesting would make a bigger plane. A bigger plan is a waste of gas and more harmful to the environment. A bigger plan is way more money and not everyone can afford to fly on a huge "luxury" plane. So stop whining and learn how to be polite no matter what the conditions.

  • There's nothing wrong with suggesting ways for Delta to improve its inflight service. In fact, they'll want and need these suggestions. An extra lav or two isn't unreasonable. And more armrest space could go a long way to reducing air rage. These accomodations could be made without expanding the plane.

Innovative service and amenities could actually help put Delta more on par with better airlines like Virgin Atlantic or Singapore Airlines

  • Life isn't luxury is all I'm saying. Life sucks, get used to it people and stop complaining.

  • This was not funny at all. When the child said, "Mommy is that the Empire State Building?" Give me a break!

  • haha thats so true. i hope delta will show this in their onboard TVs so that the passengers are reminded that they are not the only one on the plane

  • Actually, that's why they made these things. Just for their passenger's viewing pleasure. :)

  • yeah i only found out about this because in our school we get the newspaper (ajc) and it was on there and i wanted to check it out and i like it

  • What the hell are you even trying to say?

  • first dont curse at me then im saying i like these videos i found out about them toay at my school cuz we get the newspaper and it was in there AJC ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION! FYI

  • Hey buddy don't cuss at people i'd be just as pissed at you too - mind ur own business, and comment on THE VIDEO not the people...

  • hey thanks for defending me :D

  • no prob.
