BBC1 closedown 12th June 1995 - David Miles' last announcement

Was it that announcer's retirement from the BBC?

@AnthonyUK I do believe Mr Miles came back on occasion, maybe as a relief, filler or holidays announcer, but his main announcing stints at the BBC were over.

I think he came back to BBC TV briefly though. He's on Radio 4 now of course.
