Love this song it truly gives you the experience of seeing the ship at southhampton dock in all her glory and how grand she was R.I.P. All who perished at sea
Titanic was the perfect microcosmic story for the human experience; that is why it grabs everyone by the heart strings. Deep down we all know we are utterly doomed, but despite that we cannot help but rejoice and marvel at the miracle of our being in the first place. To weep for all the wonderful things, like love and the terrible things, like death. Bittersweet tears. That is what life is made of.
i love this song and the movie is great, the only thing i dont understand is why didnt the people swim to the rescue boats instead of wainting in the frozen water untill death arrives... besides that detail the entire movie is perfect!
@MrLegolas54 also a lot of people did swim towards the boats, most were knocked back by the people on board the boats because they were afraid that too many would capsize them
I'm not so much a fan of the movie, but I am a fan if it comes to its music. In my humble opinion this movie has the best soundtracks ever made. Followed by the Gladiator and Angels and Demons. James Horner and Hans Zimmer rule! ;)
if a time machine is ever invented and we are able to use it im going back to the day titanic is soposed to set sail and listen to this and ill make sure im on it so i can be on the ship of dreams....even for just a little while...
this song together with the moment you seen the Titanic moored in Southampton created a magical experience and took the viewer back to that moment in time and how it must have felt to have been there. I think this music could even allow a blind person to feel and imagine how specacular it was its that good
This reminds me of when evryone was so happy getting on and the docks were packed to watch the "Biggest Ship in the World" sail off. I would have loved to see the Titanic back then in all its glory.
This music always makes me think of the scene with the dolphins jumping in front of the ship. I've seen them do it on a ship I was on and it's the best feeling ever to see that!
Uhg.. When I was like 9 or 8 years old, for christmas my grandma got me this soundtrack of titanic, which i screamed my head off. I was so obsessed with Titanic. The bad part is, I lost it a while ago, and now im searching everywhere in the house for my soundtrack before I completely go crazy. But I am already. :P
@JayMiller92 I've been thinking of this too, but I can't decide which song is the very best. I think that it's a tie between James Horner, Howard Shore (his song for LoTr: "Breaking of the fellowship"), John Williams (for his song in "Intersection scene", which is my favourite, and his other songs which is what makes the movies from Steven Spielberg unbeatable in some ways (in my opinion)), and Hanz Zimmer (from whom I love the soundtrack to the 3rd Pirates of the Carribean). =)
best song out of all

I like this, Hymn to the Sea and Rose by James Horner.
Both have very different feelings associated with them but they're so powerful and emotional. Best soundtrack.
