and guys - it's a cover. of course FTTS sing it better, it's their own song. shinee don't think they sing it better either - they have so much respect for their sunbaes. seeing jonghyun with anyone from brown eyed soul, who are his heroes, shows that easily. however, i still think it was impressive, especially as this was their debut days.

You can say that they weren`t as great as FTTS, that they weren`t as polished vocally as that`s your opinion, but to call them shit, is just a plain insult. And I did watch/listen to the original. It was unbelievable. I am sure there is no doubt that FTTS version was better (it is their song after all), and we all know how unique Hwanhee's voice is. But I really cannot accept it when people are calling Shinee talentless and saying Jonghyun is a pathetic singer, cause Shinee is definitely is not talentless and Jonghyun is no way near being a pathetic singer.

I admit Onew and Jonghyun did not do as well as they should here, but ballad is not Shinee's style, and they just debuted 5 months ago back then.

Lol. It's been 2 years yet some FTTS fans are still butthurt about SHINee doing covers of their favorite singers' songs. I just remembered a youtube video wherein Shinhwa fans called DBSK as kids who were just copying Shinhwa and were no better than them. I just don't understand why some people are so rude, even to the point of saying that SHINee has no talent when in fact, they have. They might not be the best dancers, the best singers or the best performers but they do have talent.

What made SHINee stand out among other idol singers back then is that though they were the youngest group, their singing was not 'young'. Many experienced singers complimented SHINee as a group that is so young but can sing well and with emotion. They were the unusual, shocking band ;) I'm so glad that they became a successful group. They're a group that does not become hindered or arrogant by their high popularity, but rather works harder and harder to become the best.

I'll never forget this. They may not sound like the original singers and I'm glad they don't because they have their own charms that I'm completely smitten by. And to think this was almost two years ago, imagine how damn good these boys have become now. I love how SHINee creates amazing melody and harmony. to say that SHINee will be to old for their name in three years is wrong- its been two years now and their popularity increases every day. they're the only group in the top 10 appart from snsd right now which is gaining fans - (daum fancafe stats) onews voice has imroved so much- its amazing now- he's even in a musical :D and jonghyuns just amazing. yea they cant compete with FTTS's voices but these guys are some of the best singers in kpop right now :D SHINee fighting!

Vocally they were pretty good, a little shaky and underdeveloped, and lacks the emotion of brian and hwanhee but no doubt hit the notes. Can't compare to Fly to the Sky though...
