I saw this movie yesterday and concluded in my personal opinion, it surpassed the original. Yes it is more of the same, which is exactly what I and fans of the original want to see...

May I ask, exactly what credential or qualification do either of you posess to have to appointed yourselves in a position to critique an individuals work in the movie industry??? Please do enlighten me and anybody else who should unwittingly venture on to this channel/Youtube page. Please tell???

@2011TREADSTONE movie industry makes movie for us, the general audience, so of course we have the right to criticize their products. Just like when you order food from a restaurant, of course you have the right to say "eew i don't like this steak", or when you go get a haircut, you have the right to say "you suck, you cut it wrong".

They actually are going to have a third one. Warner Bros. have hired the director/script-writer for Iron Man to help write the script for Sherlock Holmes 3. It's supposed to come out in Winter of 2013.

You know nothing of the Holmes-Moriarty conflict. Moriarty was introduced in the same story where he was killed off, and as far as Watson and the general public knew (for nigh on 4 years) Holmes was dead. Until Conan-Doyle found he missed the character, so he brought him back. If you're going to give the backstory of the characters, make sure you get it right. In the Holmes world, there is no room for "original research". On a side note, this guy looks nothing like Moriarty. No one will be able
