  • hey do u think it would be worth it to get lawn mowers and tractors off of craigslist and clean them up and fix em and re sell em ? i was thinking of doin that any thoughts or tips ? any thoughts would be appreciated thank you

  • cool man

  • @chillyquack the carb is dirty so it tends to move the govener untill the carb cleans it self out.

  • i have one like this, the shifter is stuck and will only go into 2 and nuetral PLEASE HELP!!!!!

  • There is one of these in my shop now...lol!

  • Wana buy a deck for it? Its CHEAP cuz i dont use the deck. look on my profile there will be videos up of my wards soon!

  • i have one that runs at speed of 25mph at 8000rpms and idles at 900to1000

  • hi, ive got a request for a video. I was wondering, how do u drive a modern riding lawn mower. Things like how to start the blade, how to shift, and how to start and stop the mower from moving. thanks

  • I sure do like the way those little 10 horse Briggs motors sound :P

  • I got a '68 but can no find anybody with a similar one.

  • Lynol if only you lived close rLOL

  • I almost bought it and i regret me decsion!

    :(

  • I've always liked the little Ward

  • @Mississippi1313 Yeah, I liked it too. I sold it to a guy who repainted the hood, it looks real nice now.

  • Good, glad to see it got to a good home

  • @LynolsOffice It's been a great little tractor. I also replaced the throttle assembly, rebuilt the carb, and changed the muffler setup. Used her this past weekend to do some dethatching. Probably my favorite tractor at this point. Thanks again, Lynol.

  • @LynolsOffice hey dude i left a comment saying that i got one of these but when i got it the lights seemed funny could u do a vid on how the lights r set up? ill be making a vid of mine soon. thanks and great vids!!!

  • Sweet tractor!! Does that thing have a Peerless 600 series? If so, is it the 600 or the 601 slow speed version?

  • chopchop1047 has the same thing ecept it has a stck exhaust and duals

  • Why is it that those engines tend to rev up and down? I don't like briggs because of it.

  • I've got a Briggs 20 HP in my lawn tractor, and apparently, from what I can tell, it has something to do with the fuel system. I could be wrong, but that's what I can tell.

  • It's not a Briggs thing, it' an old dirty carburetor thing. You'd be surprised how fast carbs can get dirty and messed up.

  • yep.. it only takes about a week around here for gas to change color and start losing its potency..

  • @Chillyquack yea and thanks to ethanol now im always fixing pushmowers and tractors cause of that.

  • Looking good, Love the stories and rides, the Sunnrunner by far is the coolest. Keep em coming. B

  • nice tractor and keep up the good work. good times for tractorland are on the way. oh and that paintjob is what we call "patina"....

  • Wow!; thats pretty amazing that a tractor that is in that shape cosmetically; actually runs as well as it does. I didn't think it would actually start because of the age of it and because of the "weathering" and oxidizing of the misc. components, etc. But hey; thats pretty good I would say overall for the age of this one. :)

  • Yeah, and the solenoid was even good!

  • @LynolsOffice I got one a few years ago and it was MINT and me being the 13 yearold dumb shit spraypainted it like 10000000000000000 differant colors. lol

  • I really like montgomery ward products, even if they're not the best out there they are still a good piece of power equipment history. I have a restored montgomery ward edger.

  • Nice. Update on tractorland?

  • I think I'll make a vid this weekend. The place looks a lot cleaner thats for sure, lol.

  • The little headlites are cute.

  • cool it's as old as me! all it needs is a good paint job on the hood and it'll look great! I didn't know MTD was around in 1980

  • I think MTD has been making tractors since the mid 1950's. Yeah, I don't know why the white paint was more prone to rusting than the yellow. The yellow shines like new! The yellow must be a thicker paint or something.

  • is for Sale

  • Yup, it is for sale. $50 or best offer.

  • hay i NEED a seet for my lawn mower how much will you charg me IF you have one... ps i did get that starter gear for my v-twin thanks for the advice whare to get one thanks =)

  • what do u edit ur vids with??

  • hey remember when i asked u for sum parts? the headlights r the same as wut r as on my craftsman and the airfilter is the same too. just sayin

  • Yeah, but I'm trying to sell these tractors whole, don't want to part them out unless I have to.

  • Cool! I think I asked for a startup of this tractor about a year ago. Runs and drives pretty good! Sounds like an 8-stroke engine near the end! lol!

    Great video!

  • for its age thats pretty good , and i think it does look pretty lol

  • Cool- my task force has similar pieces on it. That must be before MTD made the dumb move to the varible speed pulley setup and F/N/R transmission.

Speaking of speed, should look at my 90's MTD - totally stock pulleys but replaced the 12.5 for a 14.5HP briggs- things a screemer ( besides the trans howl) - i think the varible pulley is stuck causing the faster pace.....

  • thats cool i have a 1972 monkey ward

  • i like these kinds of vids.

    5/5

    cool tractor too

  • Its sad the way white paint developes rust.

  • that is very similar in ways to my old dynamark 11/36

  • That's pretty cool. That's a perfect shell for some kind of project tractor. LONG LIVE MTD!

  • nice nice!

  • The older tractor we had was actually a made by JC Penny

  • u should totaly make it a racer lower it beef up the steering change pully and what not then get a few more and make a track in the woods for them!

  • this is a very cool tractor. my grandma bought me one of these for my 10th birthday. very cool! brings back memories

  • that one would be perfect for a racer. the seperate brake and clutch pedals are what u wind up having to figure out how to make if you build a racing mower.this one is easy tho just change the pulleys and u are set to go.

  • I love that Monty Wards, I wish I could get that one. I find it weird how only the hood rusted, and the rest looks perfect, strange.

I have the same 3 speed trans in my 76 sears, do you know what the model it is?

And yeah, those front ends I dont care much for ethier, looks like a creepy face like you and CSAKvids said, it really does.

Since the deck is messed up, it would make a great tow tractor project like the one I'm working on, you should see the progess on it Lynol..its great!

  • Montgomery Ward is still in business they are a online only store check it out.....

  • nice

  • hey did you guys make a racing mower yet

  • No unfortunately. We were going to use the red Murray 6-speed to make a racing tractor, but looks like we're gonna have to get rid of it now.

  • thats cool

  • That sparate clutch/brake is a great idea, would make for a good racing mower.

Big muffler on that too. AND working lights.

Never like those hoods though. The front reminds me of a face, kinda creepy looking.

    Is this thing going?

  • Yeah this one's going to have to get sold. The "face" reminds me of a creepy clown or something.

  • Yeah, that's exactly what I see. Creepy. Good luck with finidng places to store your tractors

  • show us a vid of you putting a deck on it

  • I have NO idea how to put the deck on, but thankfully I do have the owner's manual for this. No point and installing the deck since it's got a bad mandrel though.

  • with all of the old mowing decks you have you couldnt rig one up seems pointless to have a good tractor but no usable attachments. I dont mean to be rude but tired of the same ol vids

  • I already have lots of tractors that mow and do other things, no point wasting time on this old thing. This video is pretty much just to show what it is and what it does for the people who have asked me about buying it. Most of my other videos like this are for the same reason, and most of those have now sold.

  • I remember Montgomery Wards. I loved that store, I'd always go look at all their MTDs.

Of course that was before I learn what crap MTD is. Older ones like this weren't half bad.

  • yay
