It's interesting there are three openings for "Hazel" that involve 1963 Fords. The first opening (which was shown at the beginning of the '63 model run) showed "Coach Hazel" being showered with confetti in the same red Galaxie 500/XL convertible from which she unloads groceries here. Then at the end of the season, the Baxters are posing for a family portrait in front of their red Galaxie 500/XL "fastback" hardtop (introduced as a "'63 1/2" model at mid-year)!

@micmac99 Ford was the exclusive sponsor for the first three seasons (1961-62, 1962-63 and 1963-64); Bristol-Myers (Excedrin) alternated with Ford in the 1964-65 season; when "Hazel" moved to CBS for its last season in 1965-66, Philip Morris (Parliament cigarettes) and Procter and Gamble (Crest toothpaste and Safeguard deodorant soap) took over as sponsors.

At least singer Whitney Houston took her first name from Whitney Blake, and in turn made the name somewhat popular for girls in the 1980s-90s.

@pannoni1 Have you noticed that NBC has a new sitcom titled "Whitney" for the 2011-12 TV season...unfortunately, the lead character is a brunette, and of course Whitney Blake was a very attractive blonde!
