I can quote so many slokas to demonstrate the Gauranga is Krsna Himself. For this there is no So called Pandit who can prove otherwise this is not boastful but fact. Remember in the Gita Krsna says

The Bengali people DID NOT invent Chaitanya. Period. Lord Chaitanyas appereance was told(in written form over 5000 years ago) when Vyasadeva devided Veda in 4 parts. And one of the parts, Atharva veda, have a "chapter" wherein Lord Brahma telling to one of His sons about the Kali yuga incarnation and the method of liberation(chanting Hare Krishna).

Actually, He even says "jahnavi tire navadvipe", revealing the place of the incarnation of the Lord.

Brahma here revealed the form, appearance and name.
