well as much as i would like to agree with you i can't just for the fact that your a little off on how much a Imperial Lander can hold as far as Imperial Guardsman go.
an Imperial Lander is able to hold minimum of 2000 guardsmen.
a standard guard regiment has about 14 companies of men/women and 1 company is 200 guardsmen/women..
most landers in the Imperial Navy were able to carry 2 regiments worth of Guardsmen not including vehicles..
most fleets had roughly 40 landers for a invasion...

Now that you mentioned it, I would love to see Angron againt mass of orks, because I sure know who would win. He was such a badass even before turning into traitor. And if you wonder who is Angron, he is the primarch (well, Daemonlord) of the World Eaters.
IG is really good, but the morale is crap. SM well they are cheat bastards, all the do is drop, no talent. But for survival humans have to survive so we must do watever it takes.
You know, the morale upgrades are really cheap and priests and commisars are also always usefull, so that problem is easily solved. As a matter of fact, in the DC IG campaign, guardsmen get to have a max of 900 morale , more than any other morale-affected unit, beacuse of a wargear you could get for your general.
I agree, the words he sings are fine but his voice after the woman is the sonic equivalent a Baneblade shooting you in the face with it's main cannon. Ow.
Its called Angels Crying alright, by a band called Atargatis, a german gothic metal band. I got the song off itunes. Although the male vocals are different, still really cool, if a bit different.
baneblade is a great tank period. one downside is when facing necrons and they use the destroyer lord to take the baneblade from you. which really sucks. i gotta say the best 2 units ive seen r the bloodthirster and the landraider tank. (land raider cause its my fave sm unit and its won me tons of fights)
the baneblades a fantastic relic unit, the fact it can demolish multiple squads/tanks at the same time makes up for its lack or power...even though the cannon does plenty.
Thanks lol i like fighting orks with a meagre squadron like 1 kasr 2 guardsman 2 HWTs [heavy weapon teams] maybe a lerman russ, I do like the bane but for me its either Baneblade or.. 2 Lerman Russ 3 Basilisks and a chimera considering the Bas' special ability insta kills units and when i want to turtle a small pass i know what i want :P

As one the whole 6th company fell on its knees.....
A bloody hand to hand fight was next, the dark angels slew many enemies but more kept on coming, they fought their way to the warphole in a try to stop them coming.

The flank had almost collapsed when the 6th company arrived, a small warphole, around 4 metres wide had opened and chaos marines were floodig out."HOLD THE LINE!!GRENADES!!!" The rock moved steady towards the heretic fleet, laserbeams and all were fired at them but bounched of the shields."HA!SHOW THEM WHAT FIREPOWER REALLY IS!!!
The rock opened fire, every gun, every turret fired upon those heretics. In a matter of seconds two chaos ships were destroyed, unable to withstand so much firepower. Another ship turned and tried to flee but collapsed with another and so two more were destroyed."We have them men, straight forward!"

Thor opened a vox channel ,, my lord, how it seems, the world eaters have arrived, and not only them, they aren´t engaging us, but if our Calculus Logi are right, we are outnumbered more than 40 to 1, we will hold the orbit as long as we can, but i cant promise anything, thor out.´´
"Etheral,can i ask what that was?"Greaves said to the etheral over the vox while slicing another loads of possessed marines down then loads of lancestrikes killed the rest of the chaos army attacking them"Lykos,drop the rest"Greaves said to the command "yes lord"Just a few min after a small ship dropped a massive fortress large enough to hold the 4 forces then then loads of grey knights appered and once they were finished they were about 3500 knights,550 termies,150 dreads and other vechles

Greaves was the first to meet the First line of Chaos and he sliced 6 with the sword the emperor,the rest of the terminator line then smashed into the chaos battle line and wiping it out in a storm of bolter shells and nemesis weapons"All Knights!HOLOCAUST!"A massive white sea of psychic energy surged threw the chaos line destroying all but the strongest"FINISH THEM OFF!"greaves ran at a Lord and blasted his mind with lightening and then sliced his head off and put bolter shells into his chest
"Affermative,We arriving now"Just as greaves said so 20 thunder hawks dropped down and disgorged 250 terminators and Greaves and his honour guard of Grand master Nyoxs,Captain stern,Grand master Mandulis and 3 other Masters"Good work men,Now we just hold his position until we get the fortress setdown.I see chaos azreal,i want you'r men of the ledge giving us cover fire while we storm them"greaves led his terminators into combat while blazing their holy weapons into the enemy line

They stormed out, welcomed by heretic fire, they did not seek cover nor did they slow down, honour was theirs and fury had filled their harts. The fight lasted for over an hour, the chaos marines kept coming and coming, despite the fact the angels were outnumbered, they gave no ground.

the 3rd till 7th company was waiting in the largest hangar of the rock, Azrael stood at the head of them."Men,my brothers, honor is ours, we will touch the ground first and show those damn heretics that we are dark angels, we'll show them what we do with traitors!!!" They all cheered, cheered for their leader, they moved towards the launch tubes and in one moment over 50 pods were launched backed up with some thunderhawks with predators and a land raider.

(btw orminah: about that ship, the dark angels fleet holds the biggest ship in the imperium, the rock, a piece of their homeplanet, Its larger then any imperiums ship and carries enough firepower to destroy a whole fleet on his own.Almost half of the chapter lives in it and its protected by blessings from many chaplains, it can not be destroyed, at least not that easily.)

I would assume that a reclamation force of Guard would be carried in a transport that can carry at LEAST forty marines, and that's about 80 guard.

You know, the morale upgrades are really cheap and priests and commisars are also always usefull, so that problem is easily solved. As a matter of fact, in the DC IG campaign, guardsmen get to have a max of 900 morale , more than any other morale-affected unit, beacuse of a wargear you could get for your general.

Its called Angels Crying alright, by a band called Atargatis, a german gothic metal band. I got the song off itunes. Although the male vocals are different, still really cool, if a bit different.

baneblade is a great tank period. one downside is when facing necrons and they use the destroyer lord to take the baneblade from you. which really sucks. i gotta say the best 2 units ive seen r the bloodthirster and the landraider tank. (land raider cause its my fave sm unit and its won me tons of fights)

the baneblades a fantastic relic unit, the fact it can demolish multiple squads/tanks at the same time makes up for its lack or power...even though the cannon does plenty.

The Baneblade does plenty of damage it just suffers from the guards weakness against close combat.
Keep it behind a line of guardsman, Leman Russ and Hell hounds (flame the ground) and watch it scatter the enemy to the four winds.
Big thing when using the guard is to ALWAYS have basilisks to provide support fire and give your guardsmen confessors.
While the expendable rank and file keep the enemy at a distance the big guns can ground them to powder.

Thanks lol i like fighting orks with a meagre squadron like 1 kasr 2 guardsman 2 HWTs [heavy weapon teams] maybe a lerman russ, I do like the bane but for me its either Baneblade or.. 2 Lerman Russ 3 Basilisks and a chimera considering the Bas' special ability insta kills units and when i want to turtle a small pass i know what i want :P

Hmm no never did notice that. Sure looks like a gun, could be rangefinders or some other instruments I suppose.
Sentinels are more annoying then dangerous, now if you could change them to field assault cannon chain guns like they originally had, now that would be a different matter.

I mean comon its weaker than almost every other relic required unit, personally i think squiggoth is too strong considering you can hide workers inside of it and repair it on the move. He pushed himself off the body of a dead chaos marine and jumped into the air, while he landed he slashed his sword from left to right, beheading 5 chaos marines. Inspired by this action taken of their primarch the dark angels followed him, the banners at front, their holders insipring the marines more to keep on pushing. The dark angels cut themselves a way even more quicker then previous, every heretic that dared to put a step forward was cut down without mercy.

Rejoiced by the coming of their lost primatch, the dark angels went into some sort of frenzy, not for blood or anything heretic, but to prove themselves infront of their lord.The lion at the head of the assault, his skills were legendary, he killed heretic after heretic and didn't get hit once,they had moved further on and Azrael had joined them too, like a knife the dark angels cut through the ranks of the heretics with suprisingly less casulties.

Azrael slashed his way through some chaos marines operating some strange necron tool." KILL THEM ALL!!" The fight lasted for over an hour, the chaos marines kept coming and coming, despite the fact the angels were outnumbered, they gave no ground.

(btw orminah: about that ship, the dark angels fleet holds the biggest ship in the imperium, the rock, a piece of their homeplanet, Its larger then any imperiums ship and carries enough firepower to destroy a whole fleet on his own.Almost half of the chapter lives in it and its protected by blessings from many chaplains, it can not be destroyed, at least not that easily.)

(Oh btw, son of no son, leader of the inquisition or not, The dark angels are the first chapter, the first made and even if he is his father, he will not allow the destruction of an entire loyalist chapter and decrees of treachery won't be believed, a dark angel shoots himself rather trhough the head then join heretics. So be carfull, take notice of ohter chapters history, he still his father and naughty boys get a spanking. ;p)
