The reason they didn't put any rocket launchers and chain guns in the game is because it's not realistic to civilians in a zombie outbreak. If a zombie outbreak were to occur, would you expect to find rocket launchers and grenades lying about in convenient locations? No, you'd barely expect to find molotovs and pistols. Exactly what they have in the game. I like the fact that your weapons are limited, and I can't wait for the melee weapons in L4D2

Ok, you point is about maintaining realism. But you mentioned the zombie outbreak-SINCE WHEN IS A ZOMBIE OUTBREAK REALSITIC? I agree with Tonic, rockets, and grenades, and other intresting weapons cant hurt. Hell, I'd love to dismember a zombie with a rocket!

The concept of a viral outbreak like the one seen in L4D is actually not a far off reality. It is entirely plausible for a virus, ANY virus to mutate to affect the nervous system, perceptive abilities, even causing necrotizing sores on the body. As a matter of fact, it could be parasites, bacterium, a form of a contagion that infects and destroys brain cells, leaving a horrible monster. -ANYTHING- is plausible, nothing is -Impossible-. That's the fact of the matter.

the melee weapons in l4d 2 look UNREAAL even better than the guns they have only relesed footage of the axe and frying pan but there is gona be a chainsaw and crowbar and many more they say!!!!!!!!

Besides, this is Valve, not Activision. They don't milk their fans for whats it worth by churning out sequels yearly, they extend the life of it with loads of new content.

360 owners obviously won't care as they'll sell off their original copies for the new one at the full $60. PC owners are much harder to sway.

Even if not rocket launchers, how about more shotguns, or automatics? I think if a zombie apocalypse was happening, I don't think uzis and M3 shotguns would be spread around like that, you'd see more like a hunting rifle or a Winchester lever-rifle.

Get a new card, stat. The 8500GT's choking your performance. Snag a cheap 8800GT/9800GT for like $100-something.

I had an 8500GT, gave me nothing but headaches on every game that wasn't 3-4 years old.

Oh, whoops. Yeah, there should've been more zombie movie references. I've only seen a handful (even "Shaun"), and for it to not make a few homages was weird.

Yet hearing occurrences where Zoey said "GAME OVER, MAN, GAME OVER!" was funny as hell.

You missed it. It was a timed demo that was out for a week before the game's release back in November.

And before you ask "Why did they do that, how stupid:" People could find ways to get the full game content in the demo, negating the reason for the full game.
