AFAIK there is only one credible absinthe that has right to be called an absinthe: St. Antoine. If you know others, please send me their names. The viddie itself is very old and it was my own initiative, no pressure whatsoever from any people or the fora.

Haven't had TL and Oliva, heard a lot of good about them and obviously do not knock them off as crapsinths.

Had Exceptionnel and Sinopale and didn't like them, whether they are absinthes or not it is difficult to say, but nothing exceptional about both and worth noting I have not sinked the glass of either.

Hierochloe odorata is specifically used in the spirits industry, yet making a tea with it should be palatable.

Wellington, please make note of the date of this video. At the time, there was Oliva and TL, don't believe St. Antoine was released yet (even if so, first batch was not good, unlike batch 3). There is another distilled CR absinthe coming, too.

All three of us want the same thing, my friend: quality absinthe. I realize that you see hope from the CR and rightfully so, but to be fair, 90%+ of the stuff that comes out of there is still faux crap, sadly, so I don't think this video is out of line.

At first, every czech absinthe i've seen on youtube is the "Hill's absinth" and ye .. it's not so good. ... did u even know that the "King of spirits" is the czech absinth? .. one of the best absinth on the world - King of Spirits GOLD is czech. It has 100mg/l thujon.

if all you have is czech absinthe and your a pussy like me, chase it with a very sweet juice IE apple juice works wonders for me great vid tho! czech is the first kind I've ever had and it is SO bitter! the bottle says they use alot of wormwood so I assume this is what makes its bitter taste. I hope not! Because I agree that most Absinthe coming from Czech republic is junk but far not all! Bairnsfather Bitter, Absinth Reality, La Bohéme Originale, Toulouse Lautrec & King Of Spirits & GOLD.

Yes they are much bitter then French and Swiss Absinthe but still taste great for those who like bitter drink.

Yes, I personally prefer French & Swiss absinthe but King Of Spirits is also one of my favorites & it happens to be Czech.

react to what? as in the louche? that has to do with the anise if your not getting a good louche your useing to little or your distilling it to hot. if it comes out with to much of a liqurish taste then theres to much. better louche worse the taste trick is finding the right balance.
