what the heck does "well enough alone mean?" report: 2 blk men breaking into house. discover blk man inside house. expecting proof it's his house is unreasonable? apparently asking for proof of residence is "profiling." the officer should simply believe everything people say?! Just some facts:

1. Sgt. James Crowley LIED on the police report. The 911 caller did NOT mention "2 black men."

2. Sgt. James Crowley walked onto private property & unlawfully entered a residence (without a warrant).

3. Sgt. James Crowley arrested a man for "disorderly conduct" ON HIS OWN PRIVATE PROPERTY! Disorderly conduct refers to "public places" in which Prof Gate's home was not "public."

These are the reasons why they dropped the charges. Sgt. James Crowley acted "stupidly!"

1) Wrong. Caller described 2 black men with backpacks.

2) The amatuer "without a warrant" play. Report of a burglary is a glaring exigent circumstance not only allowing, but requiring the responding officers to investigate. burglary (unlawful entry into a residence to commit a criminal offense) requires entry to investigate.

3) The porch of a residence has been seen as a "public place" in the eyes of courts all over the country forever.
