i have a question. every snorkel i've seen for my 2001 bigbear 400 has been too short for what i want, do you just have to go custom with it? or what?
for ur vent tube differentials all i did to mine is run my vent tubes up to my handle bars n back down and for to keep it afloat i put 4" pvc pipe with caps on the ends of them n bolt them uner front and back racks !!!
Well smart ass there is a vent tube coming from the top of the differential. If water goes into this vent tube the differential will fill with water. No differential is completely sealed. Was just asking advice of where others route there vent tubes.
lol i didnt mean any offence but there differentials can take alot more and would just need the oil changed if you flooded it. no offence. i didnt mean to piss you offf lol. pea ce out
it will give you appx. 2-5 more horsepower...it really just effect the power range...in other words...it will give you more bottom end power...good for playin in the mud with big mud tires
mud lights are a good all terrain tire...but not too good in deep swamp-like mud....they tend to clog up...get a tire with 1" 1/8 or more of tread depth and spaced out lugs
go with the HMF exhaust...then if you dont mind a lil rubbin...go with the tallest mud tire you can fit...28x10x12 (all four tires) vampire edl's...27x12x12 all the way around regular vampires....and if you really dont mind rubbin...go with the high lifter 29.5 outlaws
O it has...you have to jump off and pick the front end up really quick before it runs into the engine through the exhaust. Its not heavy in deep water...it will try to float with 12" wide tires all the way around
hey what kinda Snork and exhaust you got? lift? and what size tires you runnin? any axle and tie rod problems?......i got one and i built my own snork for it and dun everything else myself...jus was gon transfer sum info you kno..
27x12x12 rear? and 27x10x12 front? or all the way around? ... i aso have a 96 Big Bear 350 4x4with 26x9.5x12 front and 26x12x12 rear and that beast will go and go and go....
27x12x12 ALL THE WAY AROUND guy. Trust me...it makes a huge difference when trying to crawl out of deep ruts. Especially if you have diff. lock for the front differential. Put an HMF exhaust on it and your golden
hey man i have the same bike with the same setup bug mine cant run like that underwater... can you tell me what else you snorkeled besides the air intake. thanks
put electrical tape around the choke cable on the side of the carb. silicone where the crankcase breather enters the intake so no water gets in beside the fitting. make sure you have a one way check valve on your carb. over flow tube (this should come stock on the big bear) I vented the gas tank too just so i can go extra deep
Ive been meaning to get me a snorkel on my Rubicon. Is it idled high to keep the water from getting in the exhaust or does the regular idle keep it out fine?
i just thought of something, wouldnt the vent on the gas tank allow water in?
