In all I have heard... It makes no difference what this man sings.. or in which language.... He has an amazing, God given, out of this world talent.... EVERYTHING he sings sounds absolutely wonderful...... This type of voice cannot be coached or taught..... It is gift given by a MUCH higher power.

Die Melodie spricht für sich und vor allem, es lässt einen nicht ruhen, und das sage ich als Jungspund mit haha 40 Jahren, Musik spricht für sich selbst, da spielt es keine Rolle woher diese Musik stammt...

Vollkommene Zustimmung. Wer den Wert eines Menschen (ganz gleich, in welcher Hinsicht) immer noch nach seiner Herkunft beurteilt oder es für nötig erachtet, zu klären, ob oder ob nicht jemand "full german" war oder ist, beweist unverbesserliche ignoranz und, was schlimmer ist, ein unverbesserliches Herz.

Lehar was ethnical full German! His Family was from East- Sudetia and Mecklenburg. The only reason for the " ´ " on the "á" is, that his father was working in the hungarian part of the austrian-hungarian reach. with this variant spelling of the original "LEHAR" it was more easy for him to earn jobs as a capellmeister in the "slawic" (lol, sorry) cities named Preßburg, Ödenburg, Karlsburg and Klausenburg.

I wonder, if FW were alive today, he would describe Jussi B as a plumber. Every tenor during & since has admired JB. JB was the superior singer but FW was only beginning to make us love him when we lost him. I miss them both.

Have you listened to Jussi Bjorling? Fritz would have probably been his almost successor. Simply no one can or will ever come close to being the successor to Jussi

Wunderlich, Bjorling and Melchior are the tenors I admire most. Each one is the best, in my opinion, in his field: Wunderlich: Mozart, Schubert, Haendel, Schuman, others ; Bjorling: Bizet, Verdi, others ; Melchior: Wagner.

I think that it does not make sense to say that one is better than the other in an absolute way. It is like ranking Mozart and Beethoven !
