@nomynuss Oh, sorry, I totally forgot about responding. Yes, the bike doesn't have a fuel gauge. Instead there's a reserve fuel supply. You're suppose to use the odometer to estimate how much mileage you can go, but if you forget and run out of gas, you flip the switch and use your reserve fuel to get you to a gas station. Thanks, @northroad1 for replying.
@THEPERSON405 You can always change the muffler on the bike and that'll change the way it sounds. Just take the bike to a shop and ask them what options you have, they're always willing to help.
@halfmumi I would think so, I never tried, but I've seen them on Honda Rebels and those are about the same size. I think there are universal racks you can put on.
@XB0XFR34K This is the perfect bike for that. Super easy to learn on, and gets good gas mileage, while being strong enough to go on the freeway. Also the seat height is about 25 inches or something. Really low, so new riders can flat foot with both feet at a stop. That's one of the reasons we went with this bike. My girlfriend is only 5'4", so this bike really helped her confidence.
@fordtang thanks for the reply dude, now i have to convince my mom to let me get the bike now........she said the milage is nice and everything except one thing. Theres no seat belt, and thats her only excuse not to let me ride it. I've ridden my bike 20 miles on the main road and what not but she wont budge
@renagade12 I would say so. There's not too many good choices out there, but if I had to learn again, I would say either the virago, if you're more interested in cruiser or standard bikes, or the Kawasaki 250, if you're more into sports bike. Of course, once you're comfortable on either bike, you can still switch to a sport or cruiser or standard bike for the next bike you buy. I learned on the Virago, along with my girlfriend, and we now both ride sports bikes.
@Arontje It's about as fast as an economic car. It won't out accelerate any cars, but it can keep pace fine in city driving. On the freeway, you'll be pushing it but it'll go up to 80 or so if you aren't too heavy.
@brycenrodrigo The model year of motorcycles and cars are actually sold at the end of the preceding year. Just like the 2012 cars will be released at the end of this year.
i love the virago series im looking at a 1997 model, great video i didnt know they had a choke, so that helps alot, i can't wait to get mine such a classic look and great sound
Omg, thats the exact bike i have, 2007 yamaha virago staggered V twin, mines got 5000 miles on it, Black cherry paint job. Only costed me $3,600 out the door.

a lot of bikes don't have 'em. you just fill up when at a certain number of miles, or when a light comes on.
