  • This song causes Beergasms in dark bars when it screamin sunshine outdoors.

  • It's late '11 & I'm STILL diggin' this tune forever! Thanks for the post. Being a fan of Cale, Knopfler and CCR I see the parallels here. Like it? You MUST check out Little Village's "She Runs Hot For Me" here on the tube. Lowe, John Hiatt, Ry Cooder and Jim Keltner just tearing it up.

  • just lush guitar sounds and vocals.........

  • Am i noticing Paul Carrack in the "raging eyes" video? These guys are SOOO full of win. Why did i have to be born in america in the 90's when i could have been born in in the UK in the 60's?

  • Look at that worn out strat before worn out strats were hip!

  • I loved this tune as a teenager, reminds me of the great pub rock days, Dr Feelgood, Wilko Johnson, etc. Real musicians, real music.

  • Saw Rockpile at the Roundhouse in the 70's great great band ....with a most underrated drummer ..Hi Terry.....

  • Saw Rockpileat the Roundhouse in the 70's great great band ....with a most underated drummer ..Hi Terry.....

  • I saw Rockpile in a dingy dark little club venue in Houston back in 78 or 79. My guy friends wanted to stay and talk to the band and I was a 17 yo (under-age) and was smitten with Nick. Dave was super charming, hung out and chatted and even went out back for a smoke with us after the gig. Nick was stand-offish, which both disappointed and was a relief to me. I wouldn't have been able to get 2 coherent words out of my mouth. Still a bit smitten by the way. :)

  • One person doesn't think it's funny no more.

  • Summer 1979...good times.

  • Dave and Nick ask "what if we did a Creedence song with Mark Knopfler vocals?"

    Smokes!

  • @El135o sounds more like jj cale to me.

  • I think these two videos shows what a great band Rockpile was. Cracking up is timeless while Raging Eyes has a BIG timestamp stating mid-80's and is, to be honest, not very exciting today.

The four "Rockpile records" Edmunds & Lowe recorded really stands out in their catalogues.

  • Rockpile: Fabulous Band: Nick Lowe - bass, vocals, Dave Edmunds - guitar, vocals, Terry Williams - drums, Billy Bremner - guitar, vocals. Saw Nick Lowe Fall of 2010 in Toronto. You still have it, Mr. Lowe - keep on rockin' !!!

  • Thanks for posting! One of the all time greats!

  • I drove my roommates crazy with playing this album nonstop in 1979 or 80. Great album all the way through. Why did they disband?

  • Hypnotic, brilliant.

  • Lowe & Edmunds were such a great pair. Wish they were still doing music together

  • Outstanding, thank you.

  • Super fantastic happy time track! many many stars.. I need more music like this in my life! Go LoWe

  • Song cracks me up. Confucius Says: Woman who ride bike with dress and no underwear and falls off, may have nasty crack up.

  • funny how the live crackin up sounds exactly like the cd. thanks for posting my favorite nick lowe song.wonder how he came up with those lyrics

  • I honestly prefer Tele to Strat, that one reminds me of some of the darkest moments in music history.

  • @inspiralroses yeah, tele is purest....I had a '58...kicked ass

  • Craking up, iike a wron out shoe

Ain't wet, but the world's leakin' through

  • much underated artist and song. love it

  • 5 STARS!

  • Oh wow, two songs! I've never seen this video of Raging Eyes before. Thanks!

  • Nick at his very best. Poor Nick looks like he's got the swine flu though!

  • @1ndi64 His looks here go exactly hand in hand with the mood of the song (not happy and worn-out looking). Amazing!

  • I love watching Dave smile at NIck. Must have been some great times for this group of guys.

  • Check out 3:55. I think that's the Sham Wow guy!

  • It would be great if we could get the "Ragin' Eyes" out as a separate video!
