You cant knock the Grizzlies for drafting Thabeet dude averaged over 5 blocks a game, he is 7'4 and mobile, he had a Uconn pedigree and was by most accounts the second coming of Dikembe. Had Griffin not been in the draft Thabeet might of went one. I just thought Marc Gasol was their franchise center and that Steph Curry was erything they needed.

You know the problem with the game is its too micromanaged :( when this vid opened up and Tyreke was in his drills with his trainer I'm thinking who wants to do this. Basketball is poetry, still. And i think the trainers and coaches do too much. Better stated the trainers are cool cuz these men are in superb shape but where is the "soul of the game?" The Grizzlie GM was right on the money with his assessment of Tyreke's skills...he's a big guard with very good ball handling, he can get whereever he wants to on the court, he can create shots for the bigs, lots of upside. So the million dollar question, why the hell didn't they choose him?

O.J Mayo can do most of the things Tyreke can do. Taking Reke would give them more scoring and facilitating along with Mayo and Gay, but the Grizz needed a defensive presence (And they still do). So, that's why they took Hasheem.
