Nintendo didn't like his idea of a camera controller, so he brought his idea to Microsoft. It's not like Xbox is going to stop making awesome games, they just loved the idea too much to turn it down.

@KPY33 kinect has 3 cameras (RGB, depth and 3D imaging), 4 microphones, it can track your whole body in 3D, it can focus and zoom automatically. ps eye has 1 camera, 1 microphone, it can only track in 2D plus you have to adjust focus and zoom yourself, oh and the zoom only has 2 settings so yes kinect is groundbreaking.

@chahid1992 - Some people would refer to themselves as "hardcore" because they play games like Modern Warfare, Gears of War etc. I been gaming since I was 5 or 7 (cant remember) and now I am 31 and still love games to death no matter what they are. I have a life, I take care of my kid but I can get into some heavy gaming if I have to... Some games are crappy depending on the person playing and their opinion of it while the same game will have another value to another player.
@TooOldForGaming I was there for SNES and all the systems that came out after that. I never once thought of controller-less gaming. The idea of using no controllers to play a game is in fact amazing, but in my opinion it wont be the absolute best way to play a game. The PS3 Move appears to be like Kinect but with controllers, and I believe because of that the controllers will help provide a lot more functions to gaming, and therefore a wider range of games available for the PS3.
How do you get people to feel like a certain product is awesome and is the best thing in the world? You hire actors of course! No their not acting, their just so into Microsoft Kinect! It's amazing! I trust actors totally! They always tell the truth and are so damn pretty!

@TooOldForGaming I was there for SNES and all the systems that came out after that. I never once thought of controller-less gaming. The idea of using no controllers to play a game is in fact amazing, but in my opinion it wont be the absolute best way to play a game. The PS3 Move appears to be like Kinect but with controllers, and I believe because of that the controllers will help provide a lot more functions to gaming, and therefore a wider range of games available for the PS3.
