@7477238 Lories exist in the UK and are an ever-present force on British roads. Brits rarely drive pickups, so the UK hosts would be hopelessly unfamiliar with them. Many Americans (mostly in the South) are raised on pickups--it is such an ingrained part of American culture, that no UK bloke could begin to discover just what they mean to us. Similarly, TGAU did a better job testing Utes than Hammond did b/c that is their bread and butter.

@marshknute i agree, i love engines, whether geared for massive low end torque in a big 4x4 ,or demon revving performance on a track in a porsche, i just wish people would stop comparing uk top gear to american top gear ,i happen to enjoy both of them, true the uk top gear is abit better done, however it is also much older thus making it more experienced, the amercian version is still an infant and has not quite found its rythym yet
