In the congregation we shouldn't treat a rich man better than a poor man, but in our self-righteousness there can be a temptation to treat the poor man better than the rich man, to show the world you care for the downtrodden. We ought to just ignore their physical appearance and look into the windows of their soul, and not "respect persons". They are all humans like you and me, after all.
We see it all the time on the street and in our everyday lives, even when it comes to our own neighbors. We are so busy in our own lives that we ignore everyone else around us if there is no benefit in it for us. As long as we have this mentality then this will be a sad place to call home and a lie to say we are true Christians. Share the gospel.

this song tells a story that, i hate to say, happens all the time. drug addicts, drunks, and all sorts of people come in off the street and the first thing people in the church do is pass judgment on em with a holier-than-thou attitude. does the Bible not say that they're the ones the gospel is for and that we will be judged as we judge others? what has happened to the church these days? it's so sad. it makes me sick to know that's what the church has become. :( i do love this song though. :P

It happens everyday..some people are in denial of their denial that that do look away.. some alcoholics or addicts arn't ready..sure we know that- but sometimes we PLOW.. plant a seed and leave the rest to the one with the true power to heal.

Glad somebody did a song to address this problem. Church people are so unwelcoming to people who are in the "wrong demographic" for their church, and God will hold them accountable for that.

I have posted a comment on this video before, but it really has me thinking about my daddy a lot lately. I miss him so very much. God Bless anyone that have ever felt that they are not welcomed in a place of worship because they are different or have a problem such as alcohol or maybe they are just not well off financially and don't have nice clothes to wear. We all should be open minded and welcome people and love them. It is bad to not feel welcome at a place, especially a place of worship.

Pretty sad in this time and age that church people act like this I sure would not want to go to a church like this. The church that I attended until after a few years after me and my wife were married some of the members treated us different because we did not have as much as others did money wise. Luckly we found a church that accepted us for who we were.
Over the years I have been in many churches from every denomination and in my experience 85-90% of the churches I have been into were like the church in the video.Luckily the last church I went to and the one I go to now are not.

This song was really touching. Makes one think how you can one be a follower of Christ and be that way to another especially one who came to a church...do they forget the Words in the bible on how Christ was and what he was all about? Doesn't say too much about those like that. P.S Lucifer WAS minister of music in heaven so no genre of music is bad, it is all about the message being put across. Worship and Praise is of no offense. Wow, this song really speaks to me. Makes me think of how many times I've wondered if somebody needed a prayer or a hug or somebody to just go up and talk to them....and yet I didn't. People who believe that they know that X number of people will be damned forever do not know the mind of God. None of us really does. We cannot know the mind of God. I was that drunk (long haired drug addict) who walked into churches where they looked and whispered. Luckily I walked into a lil church one day called New Bethel and there were people like him everywhere. Thanks to New Bethel and Jesus.

I do agree some people (church folks) judge when the bible says judge not lest we be judged. It also says forsake not to assemble yourselves together. (Any gathering of God's people on one accord is church). What we have to remember is that our relationship with God is a personal on. we can not let ignorant people cheat us out of our blessing from God. We must also let this song be a reminder to us how we need to treat all people because we are all one family under God's sun (Son).
I have seen this happen many times in church, my step-father was a minister. I have posted a comment on this video before, but it really has me thinking about my daddy a lot lately. I miss him so very much. God Bless anyone that have ever felt that they are not welcomed in a place of worship because they are different or have a problem such as alcohol or maybe they are just not well off financially and don't have nice clothes to wear. We all should be open minded and welcome people and love them. It is bad to not feel welcome at a place, especially a place of worship.

Pretty sad in this time and age that church people act like this I sure would not want to go to a church like this. The church that I attended until after a few years after me and my wife were married some of the members treated us different because we did not have as much as others did money wise. Luckly we found a church that accepted us for who we were.

Over the years I have been in many churches from every denomination and in my experience 85-90% of the churches I have been into were like the church in the video.Luckily the last church I went to and the one I go to now are not.

This song was really touching. Makes one think how you can one be a follower of Christ and be that way to another especially one who came to a church...do they forget the Words in the bible on how Christ was and what he was all about? Doesn't say too much about those like that. P.S Lucifer WAS minister of music in heaven so no genre of music is bad, it is all about the message being put across. Worship and Praise is of no offense. Sit back and enjoy instead of always being a critic :).

If someone sings Amazing Grace to the sound of an electric guitar does that change what the song is or its meaning? Absolutely not. If it takes the sound of an electric guitar to catch someone's attention and bring them God's message then so be it.

You are a legalist giving nothing but negative counsel, and you will make your brother stumble. You will have to answer for this behavior one day. It is a sin, and you should face that fact. Calling someone a false prophet because you don't like the style of music is just ignorant and harmful. You really need to check yourself before the Lord.

Wow, this song really speaks to me. Makes me think of how many times I've wondered if somebody needed a prayer or a hug or somebody to just go up and talk to them....and yet I didn't. People who believe that they know that X number of people will be damned forever do not know the mind of God. None of us really does. We cannot know the mind of God. I agree, though, that each of us must make a positive, non-judgmental difference in the lives of other people.

@MsMicheb Remember that just because someone calls themselves a Christian doesn't mean they really are. At my church, it's the opposite of this, so you should really not give up finding a place of true Christians. Please don't judge God by people that use his name to lift themselves up instead of using his name to lift Him up and lift up people in need. It's all about a personal relationship with Him, but you have a place in His church. Don't let those sorts of people discourage you. :)

An awesome song that really has a lot of meaning. So many times people in churches are too worried about how others are and judging them. This video did a great job of showing how even some church people do others. I am thankful that there is somebody that cares.

I was that drunk (long haired drug addict) who walked into churches where they looked and whispered. Luckily I walked into a lil church one day called New Bethel and there were people like him everywhere. Thanks to New Bethel and Jesus.

This is a beautiful video and really makes you think about how we should treat people who visit our church, who don't dress or look like us. We never know what they went through and how God will test us with our reaction to that person.

I do agree some people (church folks) judge when the bible says judge not lest we be judged. It also says forsake not to assemble yourselves together. (Any gathering of God's people on one accord is church). What we have to remember is that our relationship with God is a personal on. we can not let ignorant people cheat us out of our blessing from God. We must also let this song be a reminder to us how we need to treat all people because we are all one family under God's sun (Son).

I have seen this happen many times in church, my step-father was a minister. I am aquainted with the way " christians" treat ppl. who really need help, they don't hve a big bank account, so ' they " are treated as if they have a disease!!! Turned me off when I was only 8 y.0., I have made up my mind to love the one's that need Christ, not based on how much......tithe's......they pay!!! AMEN!!!
