Some items for your consideration: 1) We are all equal under the law. No one has the right to step outside of the law, or to declare himself judge, jury, and executioner. What you are referencing is no better than lynching, though not as extreme. 2) Taking money donated for legal defense and buying cars, jewelry, etc. is fraud. Apparently, these kids decided it was ok to steal the money of well-meaning people. They turned a gesture of kindness into robbery. Again, we are all equal under the law.
I'm a strong black women and this is really embarrassing for me to see these pictures after all that pulling together we did to let these white racist people know that we are no longer taking these kind of situations lightly its like we did this for nothing and they are here like they earned it and whoever his mother is should be very ashamed why is this money not put up in a trust fund do they know where they would be if we would have been like this. not come together to save their asses
Hopefully people will learn from this that they should pick their causes very carefully. A group of kids with criminal records and reputations as wanna be gangstas who are being charged with a crime that was witnessed by 20 to 30 people might not be the ones to send all of that money to.
We all know that there are REAL cases of injustice out there. THOSE are the ones who need support. Or the kid who has an uphill battle but keeps his nose clean. Not guys who repeatedly violate probation.
Look at it this way...it gives you more reason to hate blacks...seems that when things are quiet..the usa is not happy anyways...they need something to happen to justify you have the right to hate. Instead of using your life to hate, why not see what you can do to make this world a better one...not only for the blacks....but your own race also....
TNB, some idiot worked for that money and thought "Oh those poor little black children, I think I will send them some of my grocery money for thier cause"
not right for those six thugs attacking an innocent person. We are all sick of the crybabies whining about alleged racism..isn't is racist for six blacks to attack one white?
Thats ignorence on his part, he could have got that jewelry from any local flea market.....looks can be deceiving...and by the looks of this video so can people....oh well, such is life!
Well if you believe that then I suppose my math skills are wrong and 1+1 does not equal 2. And perhaps I should give ebonics a chance as well if we're looking to slaughter the whole education system.
So what I'm suppose to believe is this black high school student is just all of a sudden so rich that he has many hundred dollar bills and lots of expensive new jewelry? It's just a coincidence that people have been sending thousands of dollars to (wrongfully) defend him and there is no connection to his sudden wealth?
Let's try to add 1+1 and see if it still equals 2.
They live in a small town in LA. Average household income is 30 grand. Blakcs make up less then 1% of the population. Chances of the household income of the blacks being of average income is low.
Don't tell me...this is the gangsta version of 'reparations'?
The usual gang of idiots and race baiters (Jesse Jackson, Al Shrpton, the NAACP) come crawling out from under their rocks at the mere whiff of a "hate crime" , only against blacks, of course. But no mention of the victim in this case or the motivation of the six black perpetrators.
Thank you for posting this. You are a very brave man. No doubt you are going to get many angry accusations of "Racist!" and threats from idiotic, brain-dead "thugs."
Let's hope that all the "civil rights community" who is soooooo concerned about "justice" and "equality" will DEMAND an investigation into this. Hah. I'm not holding my breath.
They are still facing jail time, and through all the noise, have yet to show any wrongdoing or do anything to prove thieir innocence. They are facing years in jail. Can I get a What What?

Ok...so, maybe it's the lawyer in me, but all you see here is pictures. There's no evidence of where the money came from. All of the money for the defense is sent to a fund, to my knowledge. This is one of the kids who was invited to the BET Hip Hop awards, so God only knows if he's taking pictures with money that belongs to some rapper. People, think...critically...intelligently...and after you do that, read something OTHER than quality media like youtube and myspace.
Being a lawyer, you're probably familiar with the term discovery. It isn't a precise match, but I like to think of the alternative media as a great source for potential defeaters of the "official story," since the mainstream media usually adopts a template and sticks with it.
We have a multitude of people telling us different things about this story. Even members of the MSM admit that the story has been misreported on a number of important points, like the "white tree" (AP, for one). Thinking critically should involve examining all the evidence, not just what the MSM puts out.
There are different funds exactly how much is there or what is being done with it is being kept quiet. Lawyers say they haven't seen a penny. Families are fighting over access. It's a big mess.
What is your full name and location of your practice? - So I can be sure to NEVER hire you!!! You left your common sense at the third-tier law school you paid full tuition for... or did your parents pay?..
Unless you can produce evidence that thousands of white mobs attack thousands of black men every year, then your evidence is merely anecdotal. That means you can't make generalizations out of it. And your link is still broken, so I have yet to see the video.
What I do know is that I have pictures of a kid who's supposedly poor (because he's black, says the media) posing with a large sum of money. If that isn't suspicious behavior, what on earth is? You have to be willing to at least consider the possibility that the scenario you imagine the Jena 6 to be isn't factually accurate, instead of assuming innocence because of color, i.e. racism.
If you're going to quote me, quote all of me. "Edit: since posting this video, I've become aware that some are questioning the authenticity of the pictures being shown. If these pictures are indeed falsified in any way, I welcome any evidence to that effect. This is only fair." If I don't know, then neither do you.
Is this supposed to be justification for the Jena 6 incident? What gives me great difficulty with civil rights-associated issues today is that it seems like a double standard is being applied. How many civil rights leaders were so sure that the Duke lacrosse players were guilty simply because the victim was black? I want people of all colors to admit that racism is equally as abhorrent when practiced by any person or group of people. (And your link is broken.)
Perhaps you should read the video description, which is located just to the right of the video itself. You seem to be angry that the public is actually getting access to ALL the information in this case. As I've said, I don't know whether or not this money came from donations, but it is intellectually dishonest to refuse to consider that possibility. Wouldn't you agree?
Is there a particular reason you're fairly certain that this money is NOT from donations, or that he did NOT purchase the "bling" using donations? It wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that you come to the table with a bit of a presupposition would it? I refer, of course, to your wonderful screen name and the racism it entails.
aint gone lie dis kindve upsets me. but aye did yall see Mtcal get released my football team we where gone play them the year before last but they lost their playoff game mycal done got big.. but on da cool anybody know how 2 get to the bailey dude page i wanna see dis.
Actually, once word of this began to spread over the internet, bailey shut down his account. According to un-verified statements supposed to have been made by a relative of his, his lawyer was aware of the pictures. I'm guessing the lawyer might have advised him to take it down, regardless of whether or not the pictures show money donated to his legal defense. In either case, it just looks bad.
I just wanted to let you know I thought the comments posted on your page were a bunch of pathetic crap, which I'm sorry you have to deal with. Thought you should know, not that it really makes a substantive difference.
"So does this mean we can't riot and get new stuff like in L.A.? I need a new Plasma TV, the TV I got back then during the last 'injustice' is getting old"
"Thats what that white boy get for puttin nooses around. stop hatin yall abunch of haters"
Pot calling kettle black? The "white boy" didn't hang any noose.
"FINALLY SUM EQUALITY! "
You are a real idiot huh? How does it feel to have all of that hate cramped up in a pea sized brain? I bet it hurts.
