The thought used to be that if the competitors feet break the plane of the bar & touch the ground, then it's a foul attempt. The rule being, as long as no advantage is gained, it's fair ! My mind still spins, we were all saying the same thing "I don't care where I exit the damn mat, look at what I just did!"...we were, after-all, only 14. Thanks for not being a dick about it though
