  • What up dude, I just got a couple of questions for you because I was thinking about getting this gun myself. First, How is it holding up to the powerfull 44. mag, second, What negiative features have you started to notice after owning this gun for so long, and last but not least, do you think it is a good first pistol for most people?

  • ig its just my personle prefrins but id rather hav a small gun that holds more then a big gun that holds 6 just cus its easyer to get out nd not catch on stuff nd cus if u need more then 6 rounds u hav to reload and with a revolver its time consuming to reload but dont get me wrong i love revolvers but for protecsion i rather hav a small gun that holds more

  • Ooookk. I'm going to buy it.

  • well, you will get raided soon not by gang members but by your own government :D ..wait for Romney to become a president and new gun grabbing laws.

  • I saw this at a gun store and I was like HOLY SHIT!!!! That thing is a monster

  • get that thing away from me

  • wannabe gang thugs.........NICE!!!!!!!

overall, very nice weapon sir. very nice.

  • @vikingred84 Thanks! Please post your 454 on here. I wanna' see!!!

  • I like the .44, but i picked up the .454 I like big guns and the kick is not bad on the .454. The .44 should be enough for the gang banging wanna be's that for sure. Nice gun enjoy.

  • Wow what a gun

  • look s like a ruger...fine gun porn there pal

  • sexy....if it wuznt loaded i might bone the barrel jk

  • beutiful revolver,im getting one! how is it treating you?

  • @reynosamanA3 Flawless, bro. Flawless. :-)

  • @youchris67 im seriously in LOVE <3

  • Nice, this will be a nice piece to have when the world financial collapse hits good choice I have one and you should too. Having a Henry lever action .44 mag old school rifle is a great complement to this side arm. To world peace !!!

  • Hey folks, this is an amazing revolver.

    Greetings from Brazil.

  • I love the 2nd amendment. And that gun...I want to buy it...i might get the black one...not too sure yet.

  • @hawk6111 what are you from the 40's racist prick people like you should not be allowed to have firearms with that mindframe

  • @hawk6111 LOL!

  • @hawk6111 I have the .454 and mine is called the inbread white boy eraser.

  • Definitely a piece of art! Powerful art- but beautiful all the way!

  • That is a biiig mutha you know what!

  • moron

  • You didn't need to say you were a firearms noob, we can sooooo tell already. Talking about thugs in the hood, scaring people with it and such. oh yeah... and being proud to own a Taurus! LMAO!

  • @skykicker1600 I own this same firearm with an 8 3/8" barrel. I fire 240 grain winchester hunting loads all the time. With the weight of the barrel and the ports this is the smoothest .44 mag I have ever fired. I have owned and fired an old S&W and Virginia Dragoon .44 mags. The felt recoil on the Taurus is minimal compared to those. And as far as accuracy, simply amazing, I plan on taking it out during handgun season. No reason someone could not take out a deer at 75 - 100 yards with this.

  • I wonder if the caveman ever went around to his friends and said "ug, me allowed to have rock, but not allowed to throw rock at people, or else lots of other people with rocks will come after me. God bless Jurassic Park I love the golden rule".

  • @Corizzle02 The "Golden Rule" that I know is, "Those with the gold make the rules." Same goes with those with guns. And if you combine that Golden Rule with those who have guns, then you have a nation. Spread a little of that gold around and allow the citizens of your nation to have guns--then you have a Democracy.

  • @youchris67 seriously, its not right to literarily fuck up the golden rule.

  • Real nice gun!!!

  • @skykicker1600 Recoil is strong, but I often shoot it with just one hand with no problem.

  • i dont think the gangsters would be scared of it anyways if there at your doorstep there coming for your life....

  • @pimppappi702 I'd still Navy SEAL their fucking ass' with a Bin Laden style shot to the head if they are on my doorstep. Nothing wrong with at least trying to save you own life.

  • @pimppappi702 they should be scared. if ur at a man's doorstep, he has every right to pop you one, and drag you on inside, that was ur intentions anyway, but u didn't make it. bye-bye little gangster thug wannabe! POP!

  • @knockout1981pro What are you 5? In most states YOU end up in handcuffs and or jail for shooting an intruder. That's why you always keep a kitchen knife and a pair of gloves handy. Catch my drift kids?

  • @phantomshtter it don't matter if i'm five or not, but in Tennessee let an intruder find his way on the other side of my door and he won't in up in jail, it wiil be hell! Catch my drift?

  • @knockout1981pro I can see I went over your head from the get go.

  • @phantomshtter ok, you be the intruder and watch what go over and in your head in my home. its sounds like to me you trying to defend your own gangster thugs wannabe's by sayings don't kill them or you'll in up in jail. if and intruder don't care about dying, i don't care about jail so oyu can miss me with that jail ****. they should think about that befor they go breaking and entering!

  • @knockout1981pro Look dude I gotta be totally honest with you here, you sound like a complete fucking moron. So much to the point that I think it safe to say that it's people like you who give gun owners a bad name. Keep talking stupid out of your ass, I have a feeling you're VERY good at it. Discussion over.

  • @phantomshtter and u must be a scary ass gun owner! you can't get mad cause i'm saying i will defend my home if an intruder breaks in.seems like too me you the one giving gun owners a bad name new age pussy!

  • @knockout1981pro See previous comment

  • @knockout1981pro "they should be scared. if ur at a man's doorstep, he has every right to pop you one, and drag you on inside, that was ur intentions anyway, but u didn't make it. bye-bye little gangster thug wannabe! POP!" You're a loud mouth showoff with a twisted ignorant conception that you can wave and fire your guns at anybody on your property. You're stupid, dangerous and immature. I doubt you are even old enough to own a firearm.

  • @phantomshtter NOT IN TEXAS!!!

  • @lonestar54r That is absolutely true, you all got your shit together in that great state. Kudos

  • that's funny my taurus 44 mag was my sixth handgun

  • Great review! Im looking for a new handgun and I love this revolver but I'm not wild about the rear sight. Does anyone know of a similar gun that has a different rear sight? It doesn't have to be .44 mag either. Thanks!

  • BEAUTIFUL ...................

  • I have the exact same 1.r2pionner this puts esa perra comprate una morro!Te la consego mijo tito

  • nice

  • Too short mines 8 3/8's also I hate the stupid thing they cover the sights with. Instantly scratches it when you take it off

  • @klimacs Yeah! What the hell is up with that sight cover piece of crap? Scratched mine too! I don't tolerate any scratches on my guns!

  • one of my fav. handgun !

  • Revolvers are my favorite type of gun

  • @ZenmodX Yeah, rovolvers are the best type of handgun. Semi-autos are boring.

  • @youchris67 I 100% agree, they feel much more "right" to hold too. The extra bit of weight makes it feel high quality. The pure sleek of them is a work of art.

  • I think a Taurus Judge will persuade robbers more...

  • @ModernWarfare2man

I agree! I'm getting one soon!

  • How much did it cost? It's a very nice looking gun it's probrally one of the best looking handguns I have seen

  • Hey man, whats your opinion of the double cylinder lrelease on these guns? I was looking at a taurus, not because of its price, but because of its lighter weight (in certain configs). But I was a little turned off by the odd latch, what do you think?

  • @SuperR3volver Dude, don't worry about the latch. It's very easy to get used to. It is odd, but it really holds that cylinder tight amd locked.

  • Hey, I've been thinking of purchasing a raging bull for various reasons but i won't say any, but I've been wondering, should i get the 6 1/2 inch barrel of the 8 1/2 inch barrel and can i get a general overview of your opinion on the gun, Thanks

  • @TheVermontHunter Hey, man: follow the great general rule of gun barrel length. The longer the barrel, the more accurate the gun. My 6 1/2" barrel is plenty fine for very accurate shots. As for a general review. The Taurus RB .44 mag is great! Very relyable, accurate, comfortable and fun to shoot. I find the fit, finish and feel of the gun to be great. Yes, it's cheaper than a comparable Smith & Wesson, but it still feels and looks expensive. Cleaning and maintaining it is very easy.

  • If you guys are looking to buy this i would try budsgunshop (no I'm not paid to advertise) i just don't think a lot of their prices can be beat. i was looking at this gun on buds now except i was thinking about the 8.37" barrel what do you think?

  • i hate it when people say gangs are an excuse to buy a gun even though he said the gangs werent a big problem. but asides from that. beautifull gun total badassery. i hope it serves you well, and that you never have to kill anyone with it.

no excuses. you know you wanted that gun because you thaught it was cool >:)

  • @mrtoastpluh Some what true. I did decide to buy a gun because gangs had started to develope in my suburban neighborhood due to the social welfare program of Section-8 allowing people from the worst ghettos of Baltimore to move into my neighborhood and they brought their crime with them> I was physically assaulted by one of them in a tresspassing confrontation and a threat against me and my neighbor's lives. We got rid of the gangs when we got their families I also wanted a bad ass gun!

  • Sick ass gun that will be the next one i put in my safe

  • i need one of these!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey YouChris 67,I'm in Owings Mills also, and I was White Marsh Arms last week looking at a Mossberg 500 for a home protection gun.I love your video and I love the Taurus on the videon as well.My questions to you are:Is this your home protection gun?If so,are you affraid that a round[s]may go through a wall? Also, where is the gun range in Carrol County that you spoke about in the video? Thanks

  • @YankeeCon1 Hey, Owings Mills! Glad to see a fellow citizen! Yes, I do fear over-penetration from using this gun for home defense; therefore, I have now switched to frangeable rounds. As for the Carroll County Gun range--it's called Hap Baker and is located in Westminster at the Carroll County landfill right off MD 140 (Reisterstown Road.) It's a great range! It has a pistol and rifle range where I love to shoot my AR15 and AK47 carbines.

  • @youchris67 Thank you YouChris!:>)

  • @YankeeCon1 You got it, dude!

  • The way he talks reminds of the Joker in The Dark Knight !!!

  • thats cool i got me the 41 mag with 8 3/4 barrel its a freaken beast taurus raging bull just looking at it makes people crap at tha range i love it

  • @XNKuShMoDzXX Yeah, bro. My T.R.B. is always a crowd attractor and pleaser at my ranges. The noise and reverberation from indoor range shooting of .44 Mag rounds is amazing!

  • @youchris67 isnt this gun just plain bad ass

  • I've gotten to be a pretty good shot with just the iron sights. However, I do agree that a scope will give the gun a very demonic appearance. I'm planning on getting a .500 Magnum and I may get a scope for that gun to not only make more accurate distance shots, but to also help keep the muzzle down with its weight due to the enormous recoil of a .500 Mag. But, yes, I do agree that a scope makes a big rovolver look more "beastly" as you so well put it. :-)

  • Did you get a scope for it after this video was made, by any chance? The scope makes it a bit more beastly, if I say so myself.

  • you sound like a serial killer...

  • @nubserver A serial Killer??? Good God, what an awful comparison. What the Hell? No, I'm just an old fashioned red-blooded American male who loves guns, beer, trucks, and women. Due to political correctness and over zelous feminism, today's man is expected to be a castrated feminized faggot who has to give up his manhood in order to please ultra-liberals with gay marriage acceptanance and PETA inspired go hug a deer and not hunt it bullshit. No, not me, I'm a male pig and proud of it!

  • @youchris67 - Amen, brother!

  • @dougttruong Thanks man. Like my comments, huh? Well, I say it like it is, Bro. Never afraid to speak my mind in this politcally correct Communist nation of ours.

  • @youchris67 watch out the gang members are coming with aks and full auto uzis n they come in packs lol JK nice taurus :)

  • @Miguelsr1rst That's ok, dude. I've got an AK and two AR's. Not full auto, but I've got the defensive advantage of knowing my home and where to shoot back from. Anyway, through community activism, our Home Owners Association, and establishment of our Citizens on Patrol (C.O.P.), we've taken back our community and the gang bastards are gone. In addition, my neighborhood is full of cops and Federal Agents who have thankfully bought homes here. I have two cops living on my street! Fuck all gangs!

  • @youchris67 dude! awesome!!!

  • @youchris67 Me too brother! Let us embrace our male pig-ness. Nice gun by the way, I'm looking at one in .357 but might be persuaded to look at the .44 if I got the chance to fire one.

  • @youchris67 That may be the greatest comeback ive ever heard

  • @youchris67 rock on man!

  • Very Nice. I love the large frame revolvers. I have a Ruger GP100 .357 6in barrel and love it. A taurus raging bull will be my next revolver. Havent figured out what caliber I want yet though. hehe

  • @4thReichProductions Dude, I've always loved big voluptuous women too! However, my .44 Mag Raging Bull just isn't big and sexy enough for me anymore. Now, I want something with really big tits and ass like a .454 Casull and then the Smith & Wesson .500 Magnum! I've spent well over $20K on my gun hobby over the past two years and just have to work a new large frame rovolver into my budget in this bad economy.

  • @youchris67 Hehe. The only thing that stops me from buying a .454 or .500 is the price of ammo. reloading isnt an option cuz i live in an apartment and really by the time i bought all the crap you need doesnt seem like you really save any money. Anyways love the Taurus

  • @4thReichProductions Yeah, I hear you, man. The price of amo is a bitch. A box of 50 for .500 Magnum rounds is about $55.00. Nearly a dollar a bullet! I shoot budget conscious though. I go to the range every 4-6 weeks and shoot off a limit of about 200 rounds per visit. I have many different calibers. I have .22cal, 9mm, .40S&W, .45ACP, .38Sp, .44Mag, 5.56cal, and 7.62cal guns. I just vary the ones that I shoot with. I often have lapses of up to six months of not shooting some of my guns.

  • dam.. thats a helluva revolver...

  • @FlameKaiser2 Thanks! That's my baby! However, she's no longer powerful enough for me. I now want a .454 Casull and then a .500 Magnum!

  • I'm pickin mine up tomorrow. Saw it in the case and fell in love. I love my right to bear arms....really really big ones

  • Im going to put one of these bad boys on layaway.

  • That's a good piece of weaponary you got there. I plan to pick mine up in a few months when I save up the $550. Oh by the way, is the recoil as light as everyone tells me ?

  • @Mr3DFan

The Taurus R.B. .44 mag is great! The recoil really isn't all that bad. Nice kick, but very manageable.

  • @akropiss I understand your comments and positions: however, "socialism" is a very bad word here in America. Yes, the poor and un-educated do commit most violent crime, but this you have to understand: The United States is the wealthiest country on Earth, but has the greatest gap between rich and poor than any place on Earth. Much of this inequality is deeply rooted in race. Remember, slavery was legal here for nearly four centuries with racial discrimination being legally and state sanctioned.

  • @akropiss Alright, man! I love having friends in foreign lands. I love Canada. Anyway, yes, you guys to do have lower crime rates. I just don't understand why so many Americans are so violent. I truly love to own guns just for the fun of collecting and shooting them at the range. I truly hope that I never have to use one againts a fellow human being. The catalytic converter theft thing is funny. My cousin had one stolen off her Toyota 4-Runner at a commuter train station. I just bought an Xtera.

  • @akropiss

True that. Bush was a Fascist. The Patriot Act took away more freedom from Americans than did Al Quaeda. However, the US Supreme Court ruled on June 28, 2010 that all Americans even down to the smallest town or city from north to south, east to west, have a deep, fundamental right to own firearms for self-defense. My weapon of choice for defense of my home is a very simple good 'ol .38 special. The Taurus Raging Bulls is simply overpowered for defense of my home.

  • omg thats a sexy gun

  • MUST HAVE TWO OF THOSE AWESOME GUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i fucking love it, wanna one!!!!!!!!!

  • @lordiluvatar86

Hey, do you live in a freedom loving country like the USA? Well, if you do, you will fucking love the Taurus Raging Bull .44 Mag! Funny thing: gun purchases in the USA have gone up dramatically in the past two years, but at the same time, crime has dropped! Why is this anti-gun psychos?

  • The .44 Raging Bull will go through 6 scumbag's heads before it knows it hit anything!

  • Are you still satisfied with the raging bull ? No problems wih it ? I wanna buy one myself but question the quality since the price is so low.

  • @DeQuiken

The RB .44 mag is still shooting solid. No problems!

  • what model? thanks

  • I just bought one of these and I'm waiting on the ATF paperwork. I also live in MD (southern MD) same model and barrel length just like yours!!

  • Dude! They wouldn' t even hear the muzzle blast of the Desert Eagle as it takes their fucking head off during one of their home envasion robberies! Go US Supreme cour! our American civil right to own a handgun for home protection under the 2nd Amendment has been upheld! Go fuck yourself Anti-gun nutcase Ultra-Liberals! Chicago, you can now defend yourselves against your gang banger bitches! "Don't Tread on Me!"

  • they would listen to a desert eagle...

  • That was my position 3-years ago when the Bloods started to show their fucking civilization destroying punk bitch ass's in my upscale community due to the ultra- liberal Departmentof Social Services sending them out here to live in $300K townhouses on Section-8 vouchers that our hardworking incomes have to pay for through fucking taxes! Our efforts through Citizens on Patrol got them out of here, but make no doubt I'm taking a headshot with the Taurus should a gang banger break in! NRA forever!

  • fuck gangs! go NRA WooOO!!

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA,,,QUE LINDA QUE ES!!!!!!!!!!! YO LA TENGO HACE 7 AÑOS,,LO MEJOR QUE ME COMPRE ,,SUPER PRESISA

  • Thanks! It is beautiful. I t feels really good in your hands too. I have not tried an S&W 500 yet. I'm sure the recoil kick on that baby is tremendous!

  • That thing is beautiful!! have you tried the smith and wesson 500?

  • Some people say Taurus revolvers are not that robust... What do you think about the raging bull in 4 mag??? I really wana buy that gun, but im not completely persuaded of it.

  • @swissfa18 Hey, buddy. So far, both my Taurus .44 Mag .38 Special rovolvers are working just fine. But keep in mind that both of these handguns are rather discount in their pricing and may not be as good as say, the premium priced similar handguns from Smith & wesson. If I had gotten both of these guns in Smith and Wesson instead of Taurus, the prices would be double! However, so far so good. :-)

  • @youchris67 ok thank you dude :)

  • I just picked up a Sig P229 9mm for it's sleek compact size, but I plan on picking up a Colt .45 and a .44 Magnum sometime in the future, looking at the Raging Bull as an option. How is the reliability on this brand for this model?

  • @Angelsweep

Taurus is a Brazillian firearms manufacturer that inports their products into the US through the city of Miami. As for my Raging Bull, it has proven to be very reliable and has a very high build quality considering its relatively low cost of around $699.00, where a comparable Smith & Wesson .44 Mag rovolver will set you back at least $1200.00. I love my Raging Bull!

  • @youchris67 Sounds good man! I'll keep it in mind. Reliable and economical alternatives are always ideal.

  • In my opinion, best revolver ever made.

  • man I think Im getting one.....

  • WTF??! I woke up this morning thinking... I need a .44 mag! Funny how that happens with guns.

  • Dude!

I'm hearing you on that one! I often have trouble falling asleep and actually have dreams about any new gun that I've fallen in love with and feel that I absolutely need to have added to my growing collection. I feel 'ya, man! My latest dream gun is a tricked out police and military tactical shotgun. I'm dreaming on the lines of Mossberg 500 or Remington 870.

  • LOL trust me I know the feeling. It is truly an addiction. I MUST have a CZ VZ.58 in my hands soon or I'm gonna freak out! :) Check out my page. I have a vid on my tactical shotgun. That may push you over the edge. I'm about to do another shotgun vid too. Just bought some new goodies. PEACE!

  • I love this gun...i want it!!!

    How much is it?

  • Guns are fun. I love them too. The Taurus Raging Bull has a cost in the upper $600.00's and can have the price negotiated by most gun stores--especially at a gun show.

  • @DomenicoPresutto Check it out @ budsgunshop. dot com, or wholesalehunter. dot com. You'll get it for $558 (with shipping), or $543 (shipping not incl.) respectively.

  • OMG! I love this gun. It just says "IM BIG BAD & I WILL PUT YOU DOWN" Great video.

  • Yeah! At first, I was a little punk ass bitch when I first got her and was actually afraid to shoot it. However, now, my TRB is my little bitch! I'm confident as hell with using her out at the range and in my home should I have to get tactical on some motherfucking burgler like we were having in my community. However, with Citizens on Patrol, private security, and cops who live around here letting that be known. Crime has dropped. But just in case--my .44 Mag TRB is ready to show she's a bitch!

  • I have a Glock 30 for my home rightnow. And I have been looking for another handgun but, when I saw your video I was sold. So the tarus will be my next weapon of choice. Thanks for making such a honesty down to earth video. I had to sub ya & 5 stars.

  • i cant wait to get one.

  • Great gun! Fun as hell to shoot. Especially in single action!

  • I can't see the shock wave being fatal at all! My cousin has a Taurus .44 (not raging bull) and shot it right next to my head and I had stinging ears for a couple of days that's all. Needless to say, I don't shoot with him anymore. Awesome gun though bro

  • Get some Corbon Solid Copper rounds for self defense. They are expensive and not for practice but WOW. They will go through a brick wall and stop an elephant.

  • Thanks for your complements Recoil816. You'll love your RB. This rovolver has a fantastic build quality, look, and feel. Yes, we had some stupid ass gang thugs who moved into rented homes within my upscale community. Damn ultra-liberal welfare dept. seems to think that the best way to calm and help ghetto thug families is to move them into $300,000 rented townhouses and live among people with real jobs--wrong! They bring this same disrespectful criminal mentality with them into the burbs.

  • MouseON:

your comments on killing people are confusing to me and kind of distubing. I have absolutely no intention of killing anyone with any of my many guns. I have guns mostly as a hobby as I love target shooting. I am also an advid supporter of the US Constitution's 2nd Amendment right for US citizens to "keep and bear arms." However, make no doubt that I will use my firearms to protect family, self, and home should I ever have to. We had Bloods gang members around here trying to start shit!

  • Well said... and about the bloods? As you could assume, they're nothing a .44 mag won't scare away. I'm picking up my RB (same model as your own) this coming Friday.

  • no wonder you go to school and shoot some kids ;] good luck killing people with this one. peace!

  • Thanks, man! She is beautiful!

  • beautiful gun and nice video

  • You got it, Man! I love target shooting with this gun! A rovolver is for me and by far the most enjoyable handgun to target shoot with. Wild west lawman and criminals alike all hung their careers on the trusty 'old. rovolver.

  • Good for you, Man! I'm liking this Taurus, so I think it'll get put on my short list. Be safe and thanks for posting!

  • hey make a video u usin that shooting a deer!!!

  • Hey, eryman17:

I consider everyone of my weapons, including my beloved AR's for personal defense depending on the circumstances such as civil unrest or an alien invasion. But, really--a .44 Magnum will be just too powerful to use in your home for self-defense because the round will simply go through the criminal and through walls and such and kill innocent persons. I use my 9mm Beretta for home defense. Hard to get a CC permit in the Communist state of Maryland where I live and I don't have one

  • @youchris67 In home defence, if the gun goes of beside the persons head, (bullet not hitting him) if its like a .44 Mag or .454 Casull will the pressure wave be fatal?

  • The Pressure wave from a .44 Mag, .454 Casull, and a .500 S&W will be very dangerous going off besides a person's head. The .500 just might prove fatal to some persons. Certainly, the person's eardrums and even inner-ear will be severely damaged with permanent hearing loss occurring. I have read that the overpressure from a .500 can certainly be very dangerous with many indoor gun ranges banning them!

  • so hey do you just use this as a home defense or do you conceal it? im looking to get one for concealed carry but use the 44spl but i also want one for bears so id like one with a 5 inch barrel but how big is it actually?

  • I am now uploading my return from the range video comments. Hello back to my fellow Marylander. For the guy who asked about a gun case for the Taurus Ranging Bull--no! No gun case! That sucks, but I bought a very nice one for $16.00 at Bass Pro Outdoor World.

  • Awesome man, can't wait to see it and the gun again!

  • Hey any updates on the range video comments video? If you haven't posted in on Youtube, can you tell me where you posted it if you have? Really looking forward to it. Thanks!

  • didn't come with a case?

  • Hey man, I'm from Maryland too. I go to Engage Armament !

  • dude you could shoot like 4 wana be hiphop style gangstas standing behind each other with that baby when you feed it with e good ammo :D

  • So OP, any updates on the gun yet? Any new videos? I'm dying to see/hear more!! Waiting fot he gun is killing me here...

  • From what I read online this 44 mag revolver is suppose the be the lightest kicking of the bunch, second to only the Desert Eagle since it is a semi-auto. I too am new to handguns and was able to handle super light weight, 3" barrel smiths & wesson 44 mag with 240g loads, so you should be good since you've shot 45s before.

  • Uhh are you talking about the Desert Eagle .50 AE caliber?? Thats probably one of the WORST recoiling hand guns EVER. There is NO police, military, or milita force in the world that EVER used that gun, its simply just a novelty gun that looks and sounds cool, nothing more, nothing less.

  • I was talking about the 44 mag version. Got to shoot couple rounds from it at the range once from some dude and it had very little recoil. I can not say the same thing about the .50 AE caliber though, since I've never shot it once.

  • Oh but I totally agree though that the poster will be fine with the .44 mag. The porting, weight, barrel length, and even that red rubber strip on the grip will help, and judging by just his hand he looks like a big guy, which definately helps a lot. Still, with guns its always safer to err on the side of caution, so might as well break it in with .44 Specials, if nothing just to get a feel for the muzzle flip tendancy of the gun and how it reacts once fired.

  • The interesting thing I noticed about ported barrels though is that it doesn't *really* lower recoil...it just the gas expelling pushes down against the muzzle flip as the bullet leaves the barrel, negating or lessening the muzzle shooting up... but that recoil energy has to go SOMEWHERE, and the only way for it to disperse is right through your arm. I'd imagine the heavy Bull with porting will therefore feel more like a hard shove back, as opposed to a sharp snap driving your arms UP.

  • @evenflow80 It will somewhat lower recoil because some of the gasses are not escaping forward so less kick backwards.

  • Hey, fellas:

thanks for all the comments and info. No, I have never fired a .44 magnum in my life. My biggest other guns are two .45's consisting of my HK 45 and Ruger P345. As a beginner for firing my new Taurus Raging Bull--I will first try out .44 special amo to get myself ready for the recoil which should also be mitigated by the ported muzzle.

  • Oh and you didn't mention if you shot .44 mags before (even though you seem like a fellow gun nut ;) ), but I have two words for you with .44 mags:

    EAR MUFFS!!!

    Happy shooting!

  • For the SP101 I'm refering to .357 Magnum BTW. Sorry I neglected to mention that, but you probably figured it out from the grains I mentioned :)

  • aside from the size comparasion, I'm very curious about the recoil in standard load .44 mags. I hear its the best as far as comfort will ever be with the .44. I have a Ruger SP101 3" barrel and I've shot full load 125gr JSP UMC ammo and its PAINFUL. Small gun + short barrel + light weight + hot loads = Wrist breaking pain. But after that, I think the huge RB will be relatively better even with somewhat hot .44 mag rounds. Let us know your experience man! Thanks again for the EXCELLENT vid.

  • First of all, a very, very sincere CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU MY FRIEND.Second: I ordered this exact same gun myself on September 19th!! Now I don't know if you had to wait as long, but my delivery could be "months" according to the dealer. I live in California. Please post as many videos as you can. I'm so tired of seeing the same vids/pics of this gun on Youtube & Google. what would be awesome is A vid where you place the RB next to common items (quarters, cans, etc), for size comparasion!!
