@Mia006 Not true. In the manga, there was a chapter where Ranma had to move out of the Tendo house for a while. I won't diverge on the hows and whys behind this situation, but it showed how much Ranma cared and missed Akane. If they had been living in separate houses, they would have noticed each other right away and would have still developed feelings for each other. Ranma would still, always be causing trouble in school and Akane would keep trying to stop him. Love-hate relationship ensues.
