So basically you just play notes that dont sound good together and try to make it sound as shitty as possible? Ok got it! This is exactly what it sounds like when my 4 year old nephew plays my acoustic guitar.
@42ML51 ...that may be true for you, but for me it is part of a whole world of color, thought, humor, and movement. Just because you can't hear it doesn't mean it's not there. I think that what is theoretical to your ears is just another interesting sound to mine.
I'm sorry to say this, but your music has no phrasing. Listen to Schönberg or Webern! That is real good twelve tone music. Your pieces all sound the same.
@janecroft Someone who lives in the planes can learn to see that there is beauty in subtlety, not only the jarring shapes of mountains. There is phrasing here, but it's not quite as sporadic and obvious as Schoenberg and Webern. I like them all, personally. Cheers.
The music as such is absolutely horrible, I can't imagine somebody who thinks "oh I really feel like listening to some good music right now" and throws this on, but the concept is amazing!
The sound of soda fizzling would probably be more melodic than this, so I would be grateful to do so were it the only alternative. Luckily, it is not.
I was going to not reply, but I figured that if I didn't, then you might think that I actually HAD killed myself. Thus, for my own self-satisfaction, i decided to write this comment anyway, even though it barely conveys any non-meta information.
By the way: Hitler Hitler Hitler your mom your mom your mom. There: I said it.
Godwinian antimatriarchy aside, I genuinely do find you somewhat rude.
@unclesamfatg dont be retarded just cuz its unique and as far from mainstream as it gets does not make it good... it sounds like a 3 year who got a guitar and has absolutely no coordination or knowledge of how the guitar produces different notes... the reason pop is famous is cuz it actually uses chords that are pleasing
@42ML51 pop aint famous because of "pleasing" chords, its more like "untensioned chords". its very easy to learn to make 1-4-5 chord progression in every key! or to sing a catchy melody. AND THIS requires allot of coordination and even more knowledge!
@42ML51 retarded... a good word to describe people who cannot differentiate the richness and complexity of such pieces and children-like uncoordinated notes.

So many people have this objective view about musit... that if everybody likes it, it must be good, and things that are unpopular are unpopular for a reason.... did you ever stop and wonder "do people get what they want, or do they just end up wanting what they usually get?" I mean, pizza is awesome, but have you ever tried risotto?
@petezilla I know exactly what you mean, and I like a lot of stuff that is unpopular, but Ive taken time to actually listen to some different twelve tone pieces... This music does not fit any mood, emotion, or anything
man this is so good. it totally blows my mind how those added tones sound in comparison, and how good it sounds regardless of the bizzare concept of using 12 tones. gives me ideas brother.
[EN]Human brain is no prepared to understand dodecaphonic music, scales of 7, 8 tones, well, but more... I think this is a scientific issue.
[SP]El cerebro humano no está preparado para entender la música dodecafónica, escalas de 7, 8 tonos, bien, pero más... Pienso que esto es algo científico.
it's great and very inspiring. but what makes me thinking is the fact that this must sound like some weard "jazz" momento for the mainstream-ear. ain't it interesting how we "understand" dissonants today?
This guy can play the guitar, has a sensativity to tone, and is developing some interesting ideas by exploring a new tonal language for the idiom. But why the hyperbole?
While I can't "hear" 12 tone harmonies very, I sense that the difficulty of the mentality of understanding this music while actually playing it is sincerely "way off the charts". While I can't dance to it, it leaves me rather awe struck.
Really delicious phrasing my friend. Nice row too, it's all about the row.

This is very interesting 12-tone music and I also love your attitude towards it : )

It's like the way your subconscious works.....there are things which keep happening even though you don't understand them immediately.
Are you improvising? I could believe it either way, actually.

That is great! Glad to hear someone playing above the grid!

Doesn't impress me at all. I prefer listening to the real masters: Schönberg and Webern. :-)
