@almaster0 I know some players have achieved some incredible things with the classical guitar but for me (JUST ME) the piano obviates the need for nylon-string virtuosity.

To the best of my knowledge, neither Holdsworth nor Lane have expressed anything more than a rudimentary understanding of some arguably low level mathematical concepts. I enjoy both of them for their music, but I think it's a stretch to say they have/had a "true understanding of mathematics."
