  • I signed up for a monthly sub over the weekend. Played EQ, EQ2, DDO and EVE. Very unique concept. Learning the ropes until TSW is released.

  • I say, the ones of us that Care about this game, should really fight to keep it online. I don't know if it will be Discontinued someday, and as with all games of its past, it probably will. But Aslong as there are lots of players there and playing, standing together for the game, despite the fact, that it is a game. All of us that care do return to it. Iv'e been through many other MMO's.. but i always Return to AO. And i know i always will, and will always stand ready. With a Gun in hand.

  • listening to this brings me to the sad reality that this game won't last forever. all the things that I love about this game and those things that i was always curious about will one day not exist. all we'll be left with is the soothing music and the memories made in the virtual world of Rubi-Ka. a really depressing thought, but I can't get it out of my mind.

  • Zero dislikes? But how can I get my up-votes now?!

  • Played this game during the open beta and I gotta say AO is one of the biggest mmos and probably video game in general that has a special place. I'd love to see this game brought back to life. This game was truly amazing during release.

I remember everyone being so pissed cause of the memory leaks and every other bug but after looking at all the new mmorpgs that has came out I think I'd give them all up and take AO back even in it's buggy state.

  • We need a Re-release of this game. Exactly the same, maybe with more stuff or better graphics/physics for those who think thats all a game is about. an AO that people played would give me a reason to never leave my house again.

  • AO will be back... A game like this just can't die.

  • Never again will there be a game like Anarchy Online. I know it still exists, but it isn't the same.

  • The mmorpg whose community was,is and always will be superior to everything else

the one big flaw of the game is that it set standards that all that came after have failed to meet

  • I still miss this game. Played it from 2002 to 2005. :(

  • I wish I heard of the game back when it was released. Sadly I only experienced the true wonder in 2010. :'(

I can't imagine how amazing it must have been....so many people, all confused. After all these years of MMO madness, in 2010, this is the only game that made me feel...complete.

    *Sigh*

    I wish it was 2001.

  • @wassup986 lol

  • Pure nostalgia... What a game it was.

  • @Xterio Well, the game still IS, the only problem is that its losing the amount of players...

  • @Klintonix It already lost a long time back, I'm talking back in 2005-2006. I re-logged in 2009 and what a shocker it was.

  • @Xterio Cruel reality, ehh.....

  • A game and people you always return to.

A key to the memory bomb, that's for sure.

after listening this, i logged in the game, sat at bor grid, and just chatted with my old org folks... The more things change, the more they stay the same!

  • @andrewmerc Well said my friend:)

Even after having played other MMOs I always came back to AO, the music, climate and especially people are awesome.

  • This game is truly extraterrestrial experience!

  • So much memories in this game...

  • This song is used in other areas than the N00b island. It's an old song which dates back to pre Shadowlands. I remember this playing on the docks of Omni-1 Entertainment.

  • @Catonzo Right:) And part of it is also played in Rome Red District.

  • @Klintonix And still does :)

  • I'm going to return to this game, this made me remember it, its so much better then WoW

  • that little synth brings the memories back

  • 1:00

  • god i loved this game, it had its flaws, but the atmosphere, was just so amazing.

  • Just stunning...this music brought the mood perfectly. Music is SO important in games especially i think space aged games in order to create that sense of reality. Anyone here played Freelancer? The music in that is just legendary.

  • i was only 11 when i started playin this game couldnt understand most of it but the music was my favorite part of the game.

  • This, more than any other song in the game, really brings back memories. It even reminds me of the new vastness of the game back in beta, even though the song wasn't in game back then. I wish the rest of the music in the game was this epic and moving.

  • bliss!

  • yea it does bring back memorys :D

  • nc nc ncn ncn ncn cnc n c nc nc nc nc nc nc nc -.-'

  • O.O'' Is it just me or this soundtrack is like a key to a memory bomb...

  • brings back great memories :) <3

  • Where can I get the soundtrack?

  • all the music is in

    \Program Files\Funcom\Anarchy Online\cd_image\sound\music\env

    ;)

  • hmm well i thaught it was but none of it seems to play.. crap! :(

was a bit hasty there :(

  • Where can i find this tune in the map? :)

  • @XmubwuxX I know it's a bit late, since you wrote the comment for 10 months ago, so you've probably found it by now, but anyways; to find it, go the Funcom directory, then choose the Anarchy Online directory, then cd_image/sound/music/env/ocean/day :)

  • @MariusMMS Haha well I found it 10 months ago, but lost it again so thanks! :D
