A great hope for the Orthodox Church in 1994. Unfortunately, Pat. Bartholomew (Greek) squashed any hope Ligonier had by retiring +Iakavos and emasculating the GOA. Here in 2009, +Bart is trying to unify all the Orthodox in America and around the world, but ONLY under himself. A non-canonical move which is adverse to the model of Church organization set up by Christ and His Apostles. "Local churches are ruled by local bishops."
