Thanks a million for putting this on YouTube! I have this on DVD and even VHS, but can't transfer the VHS version of the presentations "They Call it Pro Football" and the recap of the 1967 NFL season (I can transfer the first 29 SBs from VHS to DVD, but not 36, 37, and 39). Now I can put it on a blank DVD for possible transfer to YouTube. Hopefully, you can do the rest of them, as well. But how were you able to rip from the DVD to the hard drive on your computer to be able to upload this?
Through just Super Bowl XXV? I've got them all (through XLIII on VHS, anyway). I believe I can dub all the Super Bowls through 29 from VHS to DVD, and 30-35, 38, and 40-43 were tape-to-tape jobs. The onl;y ones I can't dub are 36, 37, and 39. But I can't dub the 1967-'79 seasons to DVD due to the particular VCR they were recorded on the last time I recorded them, thoughI believe I can dub 1980-'89, and I havent tried the tapes with the 1990-'97 and 1998-2005 seasons yet.
@cjs3872 Yeah, I don't want them all. I like the old school Super Bowls. I like the ones I grew up with, and the ones that I never got to see.
Super Bowl 26-29 really sucked anyway.
So you have a copy of Super Bowl V? Complete game original broadcast? If so I'd love to get a copy from you. Been looking for that game forever. I forgot to mention that when I said 3-25. I am missing Super Bowl V
The only original broadcasts I have are some of the ones that were replayed by NFL Network, and Super Bowl V wasn't, for obvious reasons. It was a terrible football game. In fact, it was so bad that Tex Maule called it "The Blunder Bowl". And those rebroadcasts were edited anyway. And yes, the Super Bowls from 18-29 were terrible, except for 23 and 25.
@cjs3872 I don't know if a tape exists of that full game. It was a bad game, but I LOVE those types of games. Super Bowl XII was as ugly as it gets too. Denver had 8 turnovers. I think Dallas fumbled 4 or 5 times. Tons of penalties, and 3 missed FG's in the 1st half for Dallas.
In fact, the Cowboys fumbled six times in Super Bowl XII, including three times in the first five minutes. But of those six fumbles, the Cowboys only lost two. In fact, there were ten fumbles, six of which were lost and 20 assessed penalties. The tempo of that gane was set on it's first play, which was a double reverse by the Cowboys, who fumbled. But the Cowboys recovered all three of their fumbles inside the game's first five minutes.
The only problem with this particular upload was that it was done in widescreen, though with the right method, and if done properly, I believe you could put in the original screen format. However, it's just great that the program was able to be ripped to the hard drive of whoever uploaded it so that it could be uploaded. I can't even rip any of my copy-protected discs to the computer, whether it's of sports or animation. Otherwise, you'd see more animation on my channel.
Great footage!
