  • Aww poor dog jkjk the little baby is so cute

  • um cute?

  • Oh my gosh guys! Seriously? Grow up! The little girl was too small to really hurt the dog and if the dog truly didn't like it, she could get up and walk away at any point. I think it's a sweet video. your dog is very patient and adorable! :)

  • @pragathischmidt316

Dogs don't always act rationally when they're annoyed.

  • @pragathischmidt316 Thank you — someone who gets it and makes sense! :-)

  • This is the reason family dogs bite. You really have to watch the kids at all times. So you were doing the right thing, the dog was calm and in a calm environment. A child that small don't have the motor skills to pet a dog "nicely" so you really have to keep an eye on them.

Looks like you have a real nice dog, and a beautiful kid ofc :)

To all that says it looks like the dog is "sad" or "suffering": they don't know how to react to kids at the beginning. They learn from things like in the vid.

  • Get the squirt gun out.

  • 0:45 Dogs like " why are you letting her do this to me

  • what a lovely dog.... shame its owned by retards

  • Wow... All you people are pathetic... This YouTuber is just sharing her time at home with her baby and dog, and I, she, the dog, and even the baby don't appreciate the rude comments you low-lives leave on here. Grow up.

  • @CrazyCutesie

If you don't want opinions, you disable comments. Or just stay off the internet and not post your stuff on youtube, allowing for people to give their opinions on what you've put up.

Yeah, what a terrible world that people should point out stupidity... Terrible world.

  • poor, poor dog! just looks at the camera like "really? what the hell am I supposed to do for this!?". Kids' lucky she didn't at least get growled at, that would have set her straight :)

  • P.S. You have the freedom to post your opinions here, and we appreciate constructive criticism since we put it out there. (Thanks to all the other commentators for your messages.:) But if you're that immature, you shouldn't be showing your ignorance in a public domain.

  • As for the commentator who was threatening — and those of you who, jokingly or otherwise, said my child was a brat or also insinuated you wanted to hit her — yeah, she could still take you, and she's 5 now. And her parents could certainly take you!

  • My previous message was cut off; I meant to state that no one is qualified to judge the total picture based on a one-minute (or less) video clip. My husband and I were well familiar with the relationship between our daughter and our dog, and only we know how much Hopie loved attention and affection and, above all, AnnaLucia. This video is an adorable but brief display of what was a most loving partnership of baby and canine.

  • Someone called me "retarded?" Wow -- glad I didn't bother checking these comments before and kind of upset I'm reading them now.

Firstly, as a former Special Olympics coach and, above all, a human being, I ask you to check the word "retarded" at the door. If you're old enough to be on the Internet and leave comments, then surely you're mature enough -- or should be -- to avoid resorting to terminology that's not at all civilized.

Secondly, please avoid jumping to conclusions; no one is qualifi

  • @spwolf32 well that is because anyone with any sense could tell the dog was only at bay because of respect for you and in time the kid would continue to pester the dog and the the dog would retaliate and be the dogs fault.....hmmmmm......not really calling you retarded but makes me think ,what are you thinking and why cant you see the dog is highly distrustful of the child and irritated?

  • @spwolf32

You haven't been on the internet much have you? Hehe.

That said, one of the top rated comments has written the right thing. You went about with this with the dog the wrong way, that dog is inches from NOT putting up with your child.

Doesn't matter if you're the president, you still did this the wrong way and endangered your child.

Stop being so high and mighty, more people then you have dogs, and they're telling you you've acted terribly. Suck it up.

  • @spwolf32 oh yeah go hard!!!

  • i dont think the kid is purposely being cruel. She is playing just roughly.Though ought to guide her with ur hands how to touch gently.

  • I hope that the child isn't always allowed to pester the dog like this and she should be taught to Pet properly, HOWEVER, I do think it is important that a dog learns to tolerate things she doesn't necessarily like, and this sort of supervised attention in small doses my be good for the dog as she will not necessarily always be around gentle children and and must not resort to biting just because she doesn't like something. I would offer the dog praise and treats for being patient

  • I agree, I also felt upset, for sure the dog did not enjoyed the kid's company, she was lucky she wasn't bit yet. The parents should not allow small children to play rough or hit dogs because they have feelings too and can strike back at any time. Good luck for the kid, sorry for the dog.

  • I agree, the girl is mean to the doggie. I don't like this video

  • hY, WHAT KID OF DOG IS that, by the way? It looks like my grandmas dog that passed away..

  • That dog is so lovely its fur looks really soft and its very patient. horrid brat though.

  • Oh, yes, I know. I meant, who take him? The dog or the daughter?

  • I worry about kids that get right up in a dogs face... a passive dog or not.

  • still mean ((and for refrence i am 19 )

  • @mathewthehusky1. 19? Yea ,she could still take you.

  • @spwolf32 yeah keep saying that if it helps ya sleep at night.

  • @spwolf32 this is a sad comment coming from a mother!!

  • @spwolf32 this is a sad comment coming from a mother!! and immature too!

  • .....i never hit a kid before...but ....i want to hit that kid..

  • @mathewthehusky1 I understand your sentiment, but though it looks as if she is being rough she is not. Besides I think she could take you.

  • Comment removed

  • @jiggsi13 I was saying that the kid could take mathewthehusky1 as he was saying he wanting to hit my daughter

  • @spwolf32 Whut do you mean by 'take you'? If youa re talking about that kid, she has no chance.. adn that dog looks too sweet to bite ANYONe (:

  • The dogs like.... What the hell dude just stop patting me (yawns) this is boring HEY YOU STOP POINTING THAT THING A T ME

  • the dog is nice the kid i don't like her.

  • that dog is adorable it has almost the exact same face except mines a german shepard

  • wow, da dog has pretty eyes.. nice!

  • A very patient and loving dog here!

  • that can go wrong someday...

  • See Dog's are smart enough to figure out when a baby is trying to figure stuff out. Even her "hard petting" probably didn't hurt the dog, just startled her.

Cat's just scratch the hell out of the kid.

  • /shrug when I was a kid I used to pester my dog all the time the only thing she did was shake her butt at me.... If the owner knows the dog well and won't bite than eh...

  • This is unbelievable dangerous. Any dog will bite,, no matter what its previosu history. That dog does not like the kid bothering it. The body language is obvious to me. It only takes a second for the dog to lose patience. I worked for years in Animal Control..Every time a dog bites a kid the owner says "oh we never thought she would bite, she was always so gentle". Justbecause you have gotten away with is "SO FAR" does not mean it won't happen. Its a dog not a human.

  • @k9sue

    absolutly right!

  • I love how people are saying that the dog might have bitten her, as if you don't know your own dog's disposition. I'm sure if you knew he was prone to biting, you wouldn't let your child near her at a young age. Beautiful dog, and beautiful baby.

  • ...A dog doesnt have to be prone to biting, i work at a shelter, and we always get dogs in for biting kids, they have lived with, and everytime its because the child pushed them to the limit, while the parents werent doing anything until they dogs limits were breached.

  • Nopee not true!

  • Sure, do you train dogs? do you meet more than 10 dogs a day? Im not triyng to be rude, but it is true.

  • @magicalcrazyness yeah certain dogs, dog owners who know there dog very well, i had a dog when i was little knew it was prone to biting so in case the dog was to ever get loose or anything and because there were kids around it got brought to the dog pound asap, then when i was older i had a dog for about 15 years i could bring that dog around any 1 year old and be 100% positive it wouldnt harm the baby, you work at a dog pound, so chances are you get aggressive dogs.

  • No, ive only had to handle 5 aggresive dogs, most were just scared, and im not saying they will do it all the time, every dog has its boundries.

  • @magicalcrazyness Yeah, but a 1 year old? how much can a 1 year old do?

  • IF you read my comments, it was not pointed at this video, or the dog and child in the video, it was a reply to someone who said everyone knows there dogs disposition, im not saying people dont, but alot of people dont pay attention. =[

  • Hope's like "Hmm...I wonder if they'll be made if I just kinda take a little bite of the kid?"

  • Beautiful canine you have there.

  • lol uh oh she is going to whip the poor dog good thing it cut out when it did

  • I LOVE THE DOG!! WHAT KIND IS IT??

  • She was a boderr collie sheparf nix.

  • @spwolf32 its border collie and its shepherd.

  • lol, its gunna take the dog out for a walk in the end?

  • simple way to teach your kid....take her hand and pet the dog with her, then she knows what nice is. did this with my cat and kid. no offence but wouldnt blame the dog if it bit her!!

  • Hope had the best disposition. She took many a hard petting without a complaint. She understood the baby meant no harm. Over time the child did learn to pet more softly. There are many exchanges between the baby and hope on this channel, please review them all and see that they lived in peace together. From trying to turn on and off the dog with a remote to Hope taking the baby's toy giraffe.

  • thats a beautiful dog!

  • How lame you are, gallowspole - and what an id! Are you even an adult yet? Know what? I bet your entire family is so embarrassed by your lack of concern for animals - you poor thing you. Why not throw yourself down a staircase and do the word a favor!

  • you need to show her what's nice. Not just saying it. She might not understand what being nice to a dog means. ...Your lucky that dog don't bite her. That's a big dog you have.

  • that girl's gonna be a mean cheerleader in high school...

  • Nah. She just started Ballet lessons. I don't think cheerleading is in her future

  • Hope. god rest her soul was very tolerant and loved our daughter. If she ever would have bit her I would have sided with Hope, but I knoew she would never harm our daughter as she would just get up and move away. Please see the other exchanges between the two on my channel.

  • I have 2 Border Collies that would look at that kid the same way and Id be telling the parents that get your kid away from doing that cause my dogs dont need that shit and they dont know what the kids intentions are so if they snap its your fault.

  • haha the dogs like "do I really have to put up with this?"

  • if only dogs could talk lol

  • Cute kid and dog but seriously if that dog was a Pitbull, I would just see the kid getting into the ER for bites.

  • what kind is Hope? german sheppard mix? it's beautiful!

  • I like the title to this video

  • Thats is Stupid and retarded mother or maybe a babysitter.

  • This mother and dog owner is retarded. You do not allow small kids to pester dogs. You have to watch the dog's body language, to see whether it welcome's the child's attention - and this dog doesn't seem to be really crazy about it; he's just putting up with it.

Kids have to learn respect for dogs, and allow them their space, and their time to rest. Children under the age of 10. See your local emergency clinic for dog bite statistics. Young kids get facial bites that don't heal properly.

  • Yes, yes, yes, stop preaching to me daddy! :-)

Just a joke, you are absolutely right, this can be a dangerous thing to do. There are dogs whose temperament is amiable and they are friendly towards kids and everybody.

  • universalradio u are absolutly right! i hate how retarted people let their uneducated kids do ANYTHING... that poor dog deserves her space..without an annoyin kid hittin her in the face and steppin on her tail...lol if she stepped on MY tail...she wud be part of those statistics lol

  • I totally agreew tih you, izzyisawsome33...that woman should not allow that little rug rat within 10 yards of that poor dog - small children need to be kept away until they can understand commands of "gentle" and "no don't hit puppy".

  • She under the age of 10 universalradio it not like she know she bothering it (and I hate when people call other people retarded it a cruel word) stupid maybe yes but not retarded

  • Well, newsflash for you. The majority of dog bites are inflicted on children under the age of 10. We're looking at a dog that's uncomfortable with a child's advances, and the child should be taught, for his own safety - not to bother dogs that are not inviting it. Now if the dog snapped at the child, and usually they get it in the face - out of self-defense, then the dog would probably have to go. Most dog bites on children are on the face, and do not disappear, as an adults would.

  • I would get scared if that dog got vicious and hurt the child :0

  • Hope was looking at her like....what did I do???lol

  • the baby totally poked hope's eye when she first whacked her head! aww!

and then she stepped on her tail.

    poor hope.

  • this reminds me of the time when my friends baby brother droped a chip and the dog eat it and the kid started screming and was hitting his head and the best part of what he did was saying "go to bed!" i dont know why it reminds me of that...

  • hopey eat you!

  • lol, free the video at 0:34. the dog is glaring at the kid.

  • what kind of dog is that..? she takes it very well, my dog would be snapping and crying

  • She is part shepard and Border collie. I found her years ago tied to a tree starving and laying in her own waste. I believe the exceeding docile attitude of Hope is more due to her age (13) and the way I found her. She never barks and always submits to other dogs. I'm not an expert but I think her spirit was broken by her experiences before I found her.

  • that kid is mean to that poor dog

  • You should see how the dog treats the kid's giraffe

  • She's not mean, just a baby.

  • she's learning....theres alot of older ppl that are MUCH worse than the little baby...im sure at that age you'd do the same thing...

  • i know i did that to my dog ein when i was younger
