If I record, I only do one song in a band's set because I'd rather have my focus on the band. As for songs, it's usually just luck. I push record between songs and hope it's a song I like.

how do you decide which tracks to record? I like to do my favorite ones, and if there's space I'll do the ones I haven't heard of /heard. I remember Deerhunter played like 2 real obscure songs or unreleased at the Dallas show last year, and I saw Destroyer tonight and they played a song I didn't recognize

This must of been during one of those rare moments when Joshua Fauver didn't have a cigarette hanging from his lips. Man was he cool when they played in Melbourne last month. Giving the crowd smokes, stealing peoples hats and letting us touch his bass. Best live performance I've ever seen.
