  • What differential/ axles are you running in this video to be able to launch that hard on slicks and not break anything in the rear end?

  • Comment removed

  • soo dope, nic job

  • Super late but awesome car none the less.

  • damn that thing hooks.

  • Downhill?? ;)

  • @roche1234567 right no shit what a terrible drag strip

  • Looks like it's at eastern creek

  • Is there any info on the setup of this s2k?

  • had a late start and still got 10.7

  • it looks like it would dip in the nines by the looks of him sleeping at the line

  • i wouldnt mind a 10 sec street S2000

  • @BucSteven R compound's would be a must then.

  • what rear end is in it?

  • @dragnby

probably stock rear end, i could be wrong though. but in any case, the s2000 engine, transmission, and rear are all bullet proof from factory for over 600hp

  • ....THAT CAR IS BADASS!!!

  • WOW.....respect

  • LOVE THE TURBO

  • RHD

  • wat the hell makes all that noise right b4 he launches ???

  • @ps3guy16 launch control

  • looks like the inlinepro s2k but not sure, if so the only mods done are a head gasket and valve springs

  • That is quick for an S2K

  • @unknownally yeah they run high 13s to low 14s stock

  • This is what I am talking about

  • fuckkk!!

  • sembra che metta sempre la 1'...

  • are they holden 15" steelies?

  • so fast. sounds great too

  • wow

  • i wonder how fast that engine would go in my civic (yes it rwd but just some mods you know) and it will go good.

  • Wth? Is the s2k racing on steelies with dr's?

  • maybe cuz steelies weigh less? idk

  • im just wondering.. how come he didnt leave on green?

  • green is your Reaction time, you could stay there for 20 seconds and still run the same time as if you left right when it turned green. Your time doesnt start until you leave the line. Its just your reaction time, best used for bracket racing.

  • the green doesnt cout for the actual time...its when you leave the line....

  • I didnt realize people dragged these with the soft tops..why?

  • they are waiting for it to wear, so they get excuse to get a hard top. haha

  • their excuse is that they're dragging it..pretty successfully too

  • ahhh... spec's please.

  • lmao r/t is like 2 sec

  • Besides the launch, beautiful driving!

  • r u kidding me? That launch was perfect.

  • He sat on the green light for what seems like 2 seconds.

    The actual launch was great.

  • watch the light then repeat that again

  • what the modied in the s2000

    pless answer

  • it takes time so built your own

  • thk god for whoever invented slicks..

  • Damn he sure did take his time leaving, but that is one badass S2k!

  • what a car

whats would be faster putting a turbo or supercharging it?

  • Turbo would have better gas mileage and would be better suited for the car(tuning wise) and you would be able to get more power, but you would have to wait for it to build(which only takes a sec or two). Supercharging it would cut your gas mileage a lil but not much if you tune it correctly. And you would have instant boost. You would not have to wait for it to build up.

  • Damn, I can't wait to buy one of these.

Even stock these cars are pretty fast.

I mean come on, no other 4 banger even comes close to the S2000's 237HP.

And whats this talk about mustangs?

The brand new "shitstangs" barely get 300hp on a god damn V8.

Many other car manufacturers can achieve that with a 6 cylinder.

    ('07 350z, 3.5L V6= 306HP)

  • Even better LesZao, almost every single owner of these cars acknowledges each other on the road and at the track. Mustang owners and most other "sport car owners" don't even look in the direction of one another. I'll share a video above so you can see what I'm talking about. Sweet sweet S2k there.

  • very true, i have one and i must say s2k owners always give the thumbs up or nod politely to one another...we don't look to race our own kind unless its for fun

  • Yes I agree with you. I myself own a s2k and anyone esle that owns them waves or a thumbs up. unlike mustangs they dont even acknowledge one another.

    Fun driving to you :]

  • go back to the early 80's , and look up the svo's 4 cyl mustangs. They put out about 200 hp from the factory. With some mods it was up to 300. There are many guys running 20+ year old 4 cyl ford engines putting out over 400hp. Youtube 2.3 ford turbo and see 9 sec hubber run.

  • @qmiler88

    Yeah those are nice numbers.

But I'm talking naturally aspirated here, not turbo engines.

Yeah of course 4 bangers running with a blower have reached the 200+ HP rating.

But has the s2000's, 237hp rating been done naturally aspirated and stock before?

Now I'm not all for rice and imports.

For gods sake I own a camaro. But this car simply amazes me, and I'll respect any car that can "wow" me. doesn't matter if it's american or import.

  • The F20-22 Series Engine can make over 400whp w/o boost and over 1000 with big boost.

  • where do people come up with this bullshit. SHOW me where an F20/2c makes 400whp naturally aspirated.

    fkn ricers i swear

  • the word over should of been almost, I know for a fact the all motor K's are making 400 in the Pro-NA class, 325 gets them mid 10's and the Pro class is in the low 9's with a little less weight, and the F series motors have a better head IMO that has not been fully worked out yet, K motors have been whored out because they are fairly cheap.

I build cars unlike 99.8% of all the fuck tards that comment, what do you drive that gives you the right to call me a ricer dickhead?

  • I drive an AP2. The F20/2c head is the king of heads, but it's no where near 400whp. Amuse spent over $100k to get their F20c to break 300whp.

I called you a ricer because you exaggerate like every other guy that drives an integra. Let me guess, it's fully built and runs 4's

  • I feel sorry for Amuse, parts for your terd are too expensive for anyone with a brain to stretch the limit of...... and in case you didnt know, the trend is Amerian's make more power with Jap cars than the Japs do, and I will leave it at that.

I will let my vid's do the talking, if you would of looked already you would not of made your last stupid comment

  • You dont have one video of racing you put all that power into it. You only video tape you spinning and on dyno... whats the point.

  • lol whats your fucking point??

Was I even talking to you?, seriously take a step back and fuck your own face?

  • when you decide to ditch moms old sedan and build something and/or post it, maybe you can talk..... until then you just another youtube fuckard that thinks he knows something.

  • lol....

  • Amuse doesnt try to build drag cars so ofcourse theyr not going to get the most power out of the motor cuz its made for the road course

  • well i remember one having about 360whp or so all motor. crazy compression ratio and shit load of work done. but its out there

  • @LesZao

yes there is... actually the amuse s2000 and many other japanese tuner companies have brought the s2000 to over 300hp at the crank in N.A . form

  • @LesZao

You are also comparing 20 years of technology change over, the s2000 redlines at what 9K? Yeah 237 sounds great, but watch the 2.3L ford lima engines NA runing over 200 hp (esslinger powered engines). They race circle and dirt track running a proven but very old SOHC engine. About 5 years ago someone discovered that you can intall with modifications a volvo DOCH on a Lima ford 2.3 bottom end. The results were amazing. Turbocharged, they are putting out well over 400hp on low boost.

  • @qmiler88 that not vey good bro 200hp n/a is very normal...and 400 hp on boost is nothing

  • @karsseboomh22 yeah its not because a 20 year old honda prelude made 220hp n/a =P

  • @petervsays YOUR WRONG there was no prelude made 20yrs ago that had 220 hp.

  • @karsseboomh22 ok maybe i exaggerated but in 92 they came out with the preludes and accords that had the h22 series pushing 220 to the crank. =P and thats only 19 years ago.

  • @qmiler88 You misunderstand. The S2000 did it while remaining low emissions compliant, getting decent gas mileage, reliable enough for well over 100k miles, and made more power with less displacement. I highly doubt the Ford lima engine could claim the same. And 400hp is not impressive on low boost. Nearly any engine can do that.

  • naturally aspirated buddy not forced induction...i think some mustangs had less than 100hp from their 2.3l?

  • lol and thats a 4 cylander you mustang loving faggots

  • "Mustang loving faggots" LOL!!!!!

  • love the backyard special steelies.

  • i love how the people who love muscle cars miss the point on working on a 4 cyl. and pulling times of 10 secs i love it lol

  • now that is fun, seeing a 4 banger hit 10 anyday. sure you can do it with a v8 but whats the fun in that.

  • totally agree man.muscle heads always make the argument that it's "easier" to run these kind of times with a v8.well if it's so "easy" then why brag about it?seeing a 4 banger run these kind of times now that's more impressive.

  • TRACKS DOWN HILL, THAT'S CHEATING:)

  • i rather drive, even if its slower, your so called bitch car than those shitstang or redneck mobile.

  • woww soo sick, lol at the slicks on it

  • Dam, that's a very fast s2k, i have 2 get one of those, one of the best cars ever made!!!!!!!!

  • HELLLLLOOOOO, the reaction time is recorded from when the light turns green to when u take off. you 1/4 mile time doesnt start until u start going. light can turn green and u can sit there for 20 seconds... u'll have the worst reaction time ever but your 1/4 mile time will still be whatever it is from when u take off... any questions?

  • would it mess up ur car for driving liek that if urs stock? and reving that high

  • not if its an s2000

  • stupid answer

  • stupid question

  • is he running drag radials or slick??

  • Your r/t isn't part of your ET. You may be thinking of your 60' time, which when lower, does lower your ET. You can have the same exact cars run a 10 second pass, one with a 2.5 second r/t, and one with a 0.5 r/t. Your elapsed time doesn't start until after tripping it.

  • i jizzed in my pants right after this lol

  • Are you retarded?!?! you never been to the track before right? it doesent record your time until you launch

  • no i havent it just seems like it would start when the light turns green.

  • doof

  • are you retarded? i can tell u havent really raced a car before newb.. what would the point be in having a tree if it doesnt start until u leave? seems pretty pointless that way.. maybe u should know a little about what ur talkin about before u jump on someone. and the reason it left late is because he set a delay box to pretty well leave on the computer.

  • You dont know what you are talking bout

  • ok...so what is a holeshot win? lol i guess that there is no such thing because the starting lights really dont mean anything its just who gets to the end first hahaha.. that would be a really gay sport if it was like that... do some research newb. only nitrous u get is from the dentist

  • Looks like you need to do some research. When the green light comes on your reaction time starts, when the front tires move and unblock the beam of light going to the sensors the reaction time stops and the 1/4 mile time starts. Two cars can run the 1/4 and the car with the slower ET could win the race if he got out of the hole fast enough to make up for the time difference in the slower ET. Reaction time + ET = total time. Total time determines win or lose. That is a holeshot win.

  • Lmfao i was waiting for some loser to say he started late lmao duhhh they don't start until you move dummies!

  • if not knowing about the reaction time and all that makes you a retard.. Then i guess like majority of people in the world is retarded

  • That, my fellow youtubers is called a faster quarter than Ferraris and Lamborginis---- WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW S2k FTW as USUAL!

  • wat does have that have a solid rear axle? it sits mad high in the rear! hah

  • 0:13...my asshole started ripping

  • damn that thing was quick!!

  • why dont all you little bitches stop talkin shit on a car thats not yours...when you have a faster one, then speak...have any of you fucks that are talking all this shit ever drivin a 400+ horsepower car? if not, then shut the fuck up

  • yea my boosted e46 m3, wuz good dawg?

  • excellent time, good performance, those were obviously his track tyres you fucking idiots

  • those rims look just like steelies.

  • theyre probobly his track tires and lightweight rims.

  • u dumb fak who would wana drag with some 17" rims u need big tires to drag.

  • convo pros would look sweet

  • slimeball you're an idiot

  • smd

  • thats fuckin sweet and american v8 a all shit for the size that make shit all power

  • pocket rocket. lol.

  • WeeLilWoodie, the interesting thing is, the man in this video on slapped on a small turbo. If you slapped a turbo on a v8, you still would need gears, gut the interior, need slicks, and it still wouldnt make it into the 10s. It would be lucky to make it down the drag stip in one piece, unless of course it was a Toyota 4.6 or 5.7 v8, but if it was a Toyota v8, just gears would get it into the 11s. Yeah, youre right, american v8s are for red homos!

  • what do you mean only 10.7 wtf do you drive.

  • 10.7 is really good for a s2000, u gotta remember this car was made for cornering not dragging like ur american muscle.

  • its faster than the bugatti veyron

  • ahha bunch of dumbasses in here.

  • lol what did you expect it to get

  • where did you find steelies for a s2000 cant find them anywhere

  • The S2k has a pretty common bolt pattern.

    5X114.3 or 5X4.5

A lot of 5 lug vehicles are the same like my S2000, Jeep Cherokee, and 240sx (I have used my Honda's factory spare on my Jeep...)

You would just have to find the right offset to match your car. The S2k uses a really high offset compared to other RWD cars like the S13 which use a low offset.

Depending on where you buy they might use backspacing instead of offset. Both are pretty much the same, but measured different in ways.

  • Hey you queer ford and chevy rednecks!!! Check this out, its a 4 cylinder japanese car!!!!

  • Yea and wdf do i care....4 6 or 8 w/e u prefer...the amount of money he put into that i cud hav got a cheap v8... just because rednecks talk shit bout trailer trash civics like the 1 u prob drive; dont talk shit back to the ones that got respect fo JDM fag ;)

  • cheap v8 that runs like shitty grandmas buik that is.

  • what the hell u mean.

i was talkin to the other guy who says he can and rather buy one and only great V8 with money they putted in that s2k. and if u r talkin about s2k its not v4 its I4 dumbshit.

  • straight 4 or I4. V means it would be in a different position.

  • inline 4 man

  • pretty damm fast

  • damn how much hp?

  • very nice vid but wouldnt he have ran a hell of a lot faster if he hadnt sat at the light... bad reaction time ehh

  • R/T has nothing to do with your 1/4 mile time, FYI.

  • sure it does if u dont react to the light ur E.T wont be accurate.. unless there just goin off when u leave the line but otherwise R/T has alot to do with it, FYI

  • Sorry, I'm not trying to be an asshole, but if you sit a the line for 20 seconds and then move, it'll make no difference if you leave exactly on the green. R/T only makes a difference in bracket racing, when you're racing against someone on a dial-in. If you're just running by yourself to get a time, you can sit forever and ever and it will make no difference, a 10.7 is a 10.7, for example, in this video.

  • not a problem yes that is true. its just if it was me i would do it like that also to test my r/t an see the best i could do. if that makes any sense to you lol

  • It does make sense but Kramer is right the time is the time once you leave the line you can sit there and wait for 20 seconds then go and you will still run a 11.7 only thing the light is for is your R/T and if you are racing someone. I would do r/t to cuz i wanna know how good i was doing but if the guy just wants to see what he would run i would just do what he did.

  • Very impressive, check this one out - "2jz s2000 from ad turbo"

  • Wow, impressive time, car sticks really well. You running Semi drags or full?

  • yeah he'll be doing mostly drifting with the car...so. no troubles there..but we know he wont be able to resist to see a trap speed or two from it :)

  • nice we got a 60-1 on a sidewinder mani, with 3" DP and to a HKS catback..50mm tial BoV, 44mm tial WG, 2mm Headgasket..we're hoping for 400whp..but we know rear end is guna let go, stock...just guna go for lots of wheel spin and bogs :)

  • Reaction time has nothing to do with your final E/T

  • Yes it does... your r/t kinda can make your e/t really bad...

  • your reaction time has nothing to do with your e/t. It's once you break the beams is when the time ticks. You can sit there all day if you wanted to, but once you break the beams time begins.

  • holy bad reaction time. Good run though! Thats a quick s2000.

  • wow impressive.....track looked wet to me or maybe it was the glare or something but if it was wet wonder what it would do when dry

  • dude stfu u dont know what ur talking about

  • Exactly.

  • He lies. 10.75 rounds up to 10.8

  • ok? so if you run 10.98 do you say u run 11s or 10s? he runs 10.7 this is drag racing not math class

  • turbo lag like a mutha

  • Nice but ihate that short gear ratio...All motor good, for boost bad.....There isnt a way were u can interchange f22 or 23 gears in that case...that would be sick and ull finish that quarter in 4th not 5th...Dont get me wrong that shit is a beast...

  • WTF did you just say? There is there is no telling what gears he has. Changing the final drive on a Honda is fairly easy though. The stock ring and pinion is made by Mazda and is a 4.10, the RX8 ring and pinion can be swapped in for a 4.44, also the Kia sportage front axle has a 4.77 that fits, if you go the other way a 99+ 6 spd Miata has a 3.90 final drive. There are many other gears available that fit the stock diff and many more if you do a Nissan R200 diff swap from inline pro (pricey).

  • properly fast s2k

  • Very Very Fast!!

  • What is the full mod setup?

  • nice run

  • it could have been better with a good start. That start(with green light on) was over one second delay. So I'd think it's a 8 or 9 second car,not a 10 second car.

  • read up. that's not how it works. he was at a test and tune. the timer starts when he starts.

  • thats bad ass

  • What was the 60' looked like a sub 1.6. Thats a strong trap for that time. Maybe lower numbers to come?

  • 60ft was a 1.46

  • hey Elaug me and a couple of buddies are building a 60-1 s2000 all stock motor..all stock rear end...shooting for 350whp...what setup are you using for a rear end...and any guesses at what a stock rear end holds up to?

  • nice

  • wow... reading these comments make sure u guys know what ur talking about before u post... lol o well i got a laugh out of some of these comments lol

  • Nice car man.I know its really hard to get extra power out of the f20.from what i heard from people you have a bigger cance of louseing power from the s2k then you do gaining.

  • lmao what was the car doin a burnout after you? sounds like a weed wacker

  • do a search on you tube for this title

Ric Shaw RX-8 VS Turbo S2000

  • thats a bad S2....is there a web link for finding more info on this car?
