Asian horror movies are real horror involving more supernatural tales like ghosts. American movies are more about drunken teens who get slaughtered in a fancy way by the usual maniac. And with lot of comicity. Asian horror movies are scary and atmosferic, american are entertaining but not really scary. I know im generalicing and there are exceptions but.....

honestly I enjoyed all three movies (Into the Mirror, Mirrors, Mirrors 2) only thing I didn't really like about Into the Mirrors was the whole "I can't differiant *sp?* people from reflections". put I did like how their was enough in the korean movie to make 2 movies. maybe get a third movie about "Writing backwards." and finally figure out the mystery of the mirrors (like why the demon was sucked out and into the mirror)

Omg, that's so scary. When I was little, something about mirrors did indeed freak me out. One time, I was in the bathroom of a restaurant and they had two huge mirrors facing each other. As I stood and looked toward each side, I saw rows and rows of another world. I can't even explain, if anyone has stood with two huge mirrors on each side of you...maybe you know what I'm saying.

@littomamaJ yeah i used to have the exact same thing when i was little my bathroom was decorated with mirrored tiles on both sides and when i used to sit in the bath i used to look as far down as i could and my brain used to trick me into imagining that there was someone/ something right in the furthest reflected room that i could see looking back at me if that makes sense lol, always used to get somewhat spooked by it , the imagination of a young mind haha

anyone that thinks the american version is better than the korean saw the american version first and then saw the lorean version later. here are some remakes, not all are asian either but most (let me in, the grudge, the Eye, Mirrors 1and 2, dark water. pulse, the ring 1 and 2, one missed call, unvited, high tension, Premonition) and the list can go on. it's not that america can't make good horror movies it's just that other country don't have limtis. and america's PC movie industry does

the problem with the 2008 version is that it focused more in the gore and horror whilst the original deals more pschologically, from the main character to the girl with the twin.

The Grudge was fine, The Ring was too clean and overblown and Shutter was pure bollocks with a twist you cant help but pee yourself laughing at. Mirrors was good but also lost the gritty darkness of the original but still good as always I recommend seeing originals before remakes though there is no shame in enjoying the remakes more though I see no reason why US must remake everything.
