  • As a new convert to from the Jehovah's Witness cult to true Christianity, this hymn blew my mind when we sung it last Sunday in Church. Thanks for posting it. Blessings to you.

Greetings to you in the UK from New Jersey, USA.

  • As usual and as I have many time before, splendid video! This song has been performed at many funerals. Nevertheless, it is gorgeous. Marvelous job you did on the organ!

  • @kenpalmer1965

Thanks Ken for your most kind comments.

The Episcopal Diocese of Bethlehem (Pennsylvania) recently wrote for permission, which I happily granted, and they are going to use this video as a part of a multi-media video presentation at their upcoming diocesean convention.

  • @joenwayne Hello Wayne. Well, I guess a hearty congratulations are in order for you for the Diocese deciding to use your video in their presentation during their convention. Awesome news! Let me know how it went if you would. Congrats once again!

  • I love this Hymn but hate it at Funerals. I always lose it, emtionally.

  • I go to a Catholic High School in Little Rock, and for our Senior Ring Mass Ceremony, my schola and I are singing this with the seniors, by candlelight. It's gonna be a very special moment :)

  • Thanks ever so much for posting this. I attend the Community of Christ church and this is one of the hymns that kept me going back. This is one of my favourite hymns to play for baptisms/confirmations and for priesthood ordinations. It also makes a wonderful sounding postlude. Thanks again for posting. :)

  • You're welcome. Thanks for viewing and your comments.

    Cheers,

  • Us old Methodists have this in our hymnal as well, and I have to get a tissue whenever we sing it. And how blessed are we to have the author of this tune from our hometown of Neenah, WIsc!

Blessings Wayne on your ministry. :)

    Greetings from NJ to WI.

  • You mean New Methodists. Thats a new religion about 450 years old. Relatively speaking, there is nothing new about it. Yes, you New Methodists have this in your hymnal as well.

    Cheers!

  • I wish we sung this more often in church. I'm Roman Catholic so I know it's in the hymnals, lol. We usually sing this at funerals.

  • Thanks for viewing.

  • This wonderful hymn is a joy to hear and to sing. Every time I hear it, I tear up, and I'm no more than an old semi-lapsed Catholic

  • Thanks for your comments and for viewing.

  • One of my favorite St. Louis Jesuit Pieces. One suggestion; slow it down a little bit. at your tempo, it sounds like a march. It is a song of someone giving himself completely to Christ. Bringing it down to the intended tempo will allow you to express the song as a prayer. Otherwise, The chorus sounds wonderful, and for the first time, I'd have to say I enjoyed the Organ accompaniment. I'm more used to guitar, so that's saying a lot. God Bless.

  • The liturgical setting in which the hymn is used here is for the Presentation Hymn (Offertory). Thanks for viewing and your comments.

  • Here I Am, Lord! One of my favorite Catholic hymns. I am so glad it has made it into your church. Do you ever use On Eagle's Wings? That's another one of my favorites!

  • *PERFECT*, as always! :D

    ~Cindy! :)

    ..

  • Hi Cindy,

    Thanks!
